DEAR FRIENDS,
TOMORROW IS THE NATIONAL DAY OF PRAYER. It is such an important time to pray over America, especially regarding the unprecedented surge in antisemitism. As shared yesterday on Turnaround Tuesday, I believe the Lord is currently releasing a trumpet blast to the nation. “He is sounding forth a trumpet that shall never call retreat!”
And He is sifting out the hearts of men before His judgment seat. The Battle Hymn of the Republic may have been written in 1861, but it is absolutely speaking to us today.
Over the past week Jolene and I have been absorbed in writing our newest book, End Times in Real Time. In honor of the National Day of Prayer we are providing you with a special excerpt. Note it was one year ago today that we were gifted the Lion of Judah shofar at Yad Vashem, the Jewish Holocaust Memorial, by Robert Weigner

Blow the Trumpet in Zion
THE PIERCING CRY of a shofar resounded through the courtyard of Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial on the summit Mount Herzl. We intuitively moved towards its sound. A dark brown ram’s horn, emblazoned with the words “Lion of Judah,” was lifted to Heaven by a stocky Jewish man in a blue denim shirt that covered a weeping heart.
Our Spirit of Elijah tour was on its final day. The sacred memorial was our final stop. Earlier in the morning we prayed at the Knesset, followed by an impromptu tour of Ein Kerem, a village at the base of Mount Herzl where John the Baptist was born.
Burning Lamp Against Dictatorship
Shofar master Robert Weigner accompanied us through Yad Vashem. A Jewish American who made Aliyah to Israel, Robert had just learned that more of his family perished in the Holocaust.
We viewed violins, torah scrolls, opera lyrics and storybooks from which starving Jews confined to ghettoes drew upon their own humanity. We hovered over the priceless menorah of a German rabbi and his wife, once defiantly displayed in their window overlooking a Nazi building draped with a giant swastika.
A burning lamp against dictatorship. I yearned to light the flame again. The witness of this lampstand is desperately needed in our time.
The Totalitarian Train
Of the six million Jews who succumbed to the Nazi regime, most were deported to concentration camps by railroad. Over Hanukkah 2015 Jolene and I visited Yad Vashem while planning our Glory Train tour for 2016—50 states, mostly by rail. Photographs of families crammed into railroad cattle cars, plummeted down tracks toward almost certain death, haunted me continually. It was the exact antithesis of all we were praying for. You’ll see this later in the book.
Suddenly the Lord spoke the following: “Son of man, TWO TRAINS are again in the earth. My Glory Train is moving to bring freedom, truth and life. But beware. The Death Train of antichrist totalitarianism is again on the move as well. Many nations are already on board!”
The enemy desperately wants our generation to forget the Holocaust, to ignore it altogether, even while laying the groundwork for a new holocaust in our day. And back in 2015 when the word came, I immediately “knew” the same authoritarian tactics employed by Hitler were now gaining a resurgence. Mesmerizing, spellbinding deception. Mass propaganda. Seductive elitism. Weaponization of civil institutions. Mass coercion. Confiscation and harnessing of cutting-edge technology towards global conquest. Global dictatorship fueled by the occult.
And, of course, antisemitism at the very core. This warning is already proving heartbreakingly true. Satanic forces hate God’s covenant people. We must work together now to derail the enemy’s work, before more momentum is gained.
A Memorial and a Name
Towards the end of the tour, our group entered the Hall of Names, a vast circular room filled with scrolls of remembrance. Yad Vashem in Hebrew means “a memorial and a name.” Its sacred mission is to bear witness in Jerusalem to the names of six million Jews who never made it physically to the Promised Land. As with Robert Weigner’s relatives, 80 years after the Holocaust more victims are still being discovered.
FINALLY, LIGHT. We moved through a triangular threshold to a giant portico overlooking the mountains of Israel. Against all odds, in 1948 survivors of the Holocaust recaptured this very land and secured it as a nation. Activating volumes of scripture to suddenly come to fulfillment.
A nation was reborn. And by this, the clearest marker of the end-times was set in place for the world to see.
Taps from a Shofar
Robert’s shofar sounded. But instead of just a few short blasts, the military dirge “Taps” began to pour from his “Lion of Judah” trumpet. No eyes remained dry during the lyrical tribute to Robert’s family members, whose passing until now was known but to God.
A short time later, Robert unexpectedly presented the “Lion of Judah” shofar to Jolene and me. We refused. As a gift, it was valued at almost $2000, but its true worth was now priceless. Both the moment and the instrument which captured it were way too sacred to be given away.
In the end Robert won. The Lion of Judah won. And through this gift a prophecy from the beginning of the tour became unexpectedly fulfilled.
Prophecy Fulfilled
TWELVE DAYS EARLIER, when our Israel tour started, a prophetic dream stirred our tour group. Very clear warnings of terrorism had already been given by friends back home. Including a word by trusted watchman prophet Lynnie Harlow, who saw explosions and terrorist infiltration coming while we were sleeping. Keep this in the back of your mind as you read.
Thankfully through the tour dream, the Lord showed our friend Kristin Walch that no harm would come during the tour, and that all would remain safe. The admonition proved true. The dream then continued in a surprising way.
Kristin saw that on the last day of the tour, the Lord was going to give Jon and Jolene a prophetic alarm. And in her words, the alarm must be released for the body of Christ to advance.
Prophetic alarm given and released. In our ministry that’s kind of what we do. Like a catcher anticipating a fast ball, we steeled ourselves to receive God’s encounter.
Instead He threw a curve ball.
When Kristin received this dream, Yad Vashem was not on our itinerary for the final day of the tour. In fact it wasn’t on our itinerary at all. They could not fit us in because we had too many people. But the God of Israel loves to trump all chance and circumstance in order to fulfill a word from His mouth.
As it turned out, we had to be at Yad Vashem on the last day. Robert Weigner had to accompany us. Because the prophetic alarm God wanted to give Jolene and me was not a visitation, a Gible verse, or even a subtle impression. Instead it was a literal shofar. The very instrument identified in the Bible for sounding an alarm.
“Blow the trumpet (shofar) in Zion, sound the alarm on My holy mountain…” (Joel 2:1).
Prophetic Warning on Iran for Israel, America
The context of the Joel 2 alarm is that Eretz Israel, the land of Israel, was being invaded. With prophetic downloads from the Lord, we immediately began to sound an alarm on similar threats to Israel in real-time. Specifically from Iran.
Given the aggressiveness of the rogue nation and its proxies, that came as no surprise. But the word the Lord spoke to me was a surprise. We’ll close with it today.
Israel, your enemies perceive how you are greatly weakened through your political and religious divisions. Many believe you are weaker now than any other time in your history, and perhaps even your future. Therefore your enemies are now poised to strike!
And America. Take heed and turn, for you are weakened by the very same reality. And you now face the prospect of a similar threat. Let Israel be your time clock!
