“God reigns over the nations, God sits on His holy throne. The princes of the people have assembled themselves as the people of the God of Abraham, FOR THE SHIELDS OF THE EARTH BELONG TO GOD; He is highly exalted”–Psalm 47:9

Welcome to the “Head of the Year” and the Feast of Trumpets! Jolene and I are grateful for you. Let your spirit awaken to Heaven’s resonance tonight. We pray you experience what the Apostle John experienced when a trumpet sounded, and immediately he was in the Spirit, beholding God’s Throne. May you enter into His council today!

Power Secured for Davids Tent
Hard to believe Davids Tent is only ten days away. We have experienced many breakthroughs these past few days. Jason Hershey shared with me that Kingdom kindness has reduced the anticipated $40,000 in generator rentals and electricity by half! And with recent donations, most of this expense has now been covered.

As of Rosh Hashanah, power has been secured. THANK YOU LORD! And thank you friends for your generous hearts.

Speaking of power secured on Rosh Hashanah… below is Jolene’s recounting of a very significant dream in which the Lord was about to blow the awakening trumpet. Jolene’s dream was on August 4. At the time, she had no idea that this is the trumpet sounded by Jewish people on Rosh Hashanah. In her dream, Jolene was in travailing prayer, then was overcome by the Holy Spirit!

Dream: the Awakening Trumpet
According to Jolene: In this dream I was in a gigantic conference room where I knew there was a conference about to take place. There was a stage at the front and the presence of the Lord was very strong. I heard the words, “Blow the Awakening Trumpet.”

As I was trying to make my way to the front of the room. I realized that a Kevin Ford, a ministry friend from Albany NY, was on the platform to speak. The presence of God was so strong on him that I could not get near him because I would go down in the Spirit every time I tried.

The room was full of people who were also overcome by the Spirit. A large number of them were men, and were laying everywhere throughout the room. There were also people pouring into the conference center through the door in the back of the room.

I remember thinking in the dream that I was fulfilling the prophecy I kept getting that I would be “lost in heavenly places” for hours and days on end.

It is interesting how Revelation 8:5 speaks about Heaven’s bowls tipping. Then Revelation 8:6 speaks about the trumpets sounding!

Days of Awe, Days of Decision!
Could it be that the Lord was conveying the timing of a coming move of His Spirit? At the very least, this is a promise held out to us as we repent and return to covenant alignment with Christ.
We have now entered into the season for which this “Days of Awe” prayer project has been named. As we shared yesterday, these are “days of decision” personally, nationally, and internationally. THE MOST IMPORTANT DECISION WE CAN MAKE is to align with Jesus Christ’s sacred covenant with us!

Choosing Israel
I want to briefly share on a key choice we must make–as individuals, regions and nations–to align with Christ’s covenant regarding Israel. I’m not talking about prophetic timetables regarding Iran, or prayer points regarding Syria, though both are greatly needed.

Instead, I feel like God has given fresh revelation about His covenant with Israel, and our alignment. This is at the very core of our heritage and destiny as a nation.

Most of you are familiar with our focus last year on divorcing Baal and restoring covenant with Jesus Christ. We are one of two nations I know of that were founded by covenant with Christ at our inception. The other, of course, is Israel.

Have We Replaced Israel?
God cut covenant with Himself for the land and people that would become Israel. He motivated apostolic companies, including the Pilgrims, to make the journey to this new world and commit their works and homes to “the glory of God, and the advancement of the Christian faith.” That is the literal language of the Mayflower Compact, signed on 11-11-1620.

Many have come to believe that the United States has somehow “replaced Israel,” and that God’s covenantal promises belong to us. Others will tell you that America is nowhere to be found in the Scriptures, especially related to the end-times. Therefore the conclusion is that our doom is sealed, and we as a nation will not even exist as the end-times progress.

Grafted In: National Covenant with Israel
Here’s what the Lord showed recently showed me. Through Jesus Christ, we all are grafted into God’s covenant with Abraham.

But just as we as individuals are grafted into the vine–to even nations can be grafted into His covenant with Israel! And that’s exactly the intentions in God’s heart when He said yes to our forefathers’ pleas that our land be covenanted to Him.

This is really key to understand! It brings new meaning to the phrase, “American Exceptionalism.” We actually are different than other nations, much in the same way Israel is different. But we in no way have replaced Israel. INSTEAD, WE HAVE BEEN GRAFTED IN.

Remember how Jesus told His disciples to “make disciples of nations.” How? Discipling individuals always begins by leading them to Jesus–in other words, by bringing them into alignment with Christ’s covenant.

If discipling individuals begins with covenant alignment, discipling nations must begin the same way! This is pictured in Isaiah 62, where Jesus declares over Israel, “no longer forsaken.” He promises to be a Bridegroom again to a land that departed from His heart and ways. “You shall be called Hephzibah, and your land Beulah, for the Lord delights in you, and to Him your land shall be married!”

We could develop this further, but for now, I felt it was really important to declare this Rosh Hashanah that we are God’s by covenant! And that through Yeshua Hamashiach, our covenant land has somehow been grafted in to God’s covenant with Israel. We don’t replace Israel, yet nor in God’s heart do we really exist apart from her.

This makes our stand on Israel’s behalf all the more important in her most desperate hour. This Rosh Hashanah, pray for the peace of Jerusalem! Sound the awakening trumpet for a massive move of Holy Spirit. Pray for wisdom for our leaders, and Israel’s leaders. Pray for accurate intelligence to be received, and wrong intelligence to be nullified. Shields up!
