In this new year America will face extraordinary challenges, ranging from the prospect of global war to a national debt crisis, health crisis, political division, the rise of artificial intelligence, tremendous shaking in the body of Christ, and more. Even a threat to our constitutional sovereignty is at hand. 

Georgia will face its own moment of truth. All of this will occur in the shadow of the 2024 presidential elections.

In the midst of the blessings and challenges of 2024, one Name will be magnified above all. One Kingdom will advance!

Purity Lights a Candle
Speaking of lighting the way… As most of you know, in January 2018 the Lord gave me a warning dream about the IHOPKC movement. It proved to be prescient. I saw a major conference with few in attendance. Permission was given for a hidden intercessor who worked at IHOPKC to open the gathering. 

Her name, Cathy, means “purity.” She appeared on the right-center side of the stage, her curly gray hair shining against the black curtain. She looked around nervously as all eyes became riveted on her. 

Then Cathy lit a candle and then held it up. She simply said one word, tears filling her eyes.

“Teshuvah.” 

In the dream a prolonged moment of silence followed. Again, only one thing was said. “Teshuvah.” Cathy disappeared from the stage, leaving the candle burning on the podium.

Teshuvah, of course, is the Hebrew word for both repentance and turnaround. I did not know it at the time. In fact I had never heard the word before and had to google its meaning. To sum up the dream, Purity lit a candle and, through tears, called for repentance. 

I will say prophetically that, from the very beginning of 2024, the lamp of the Lord will light the way. PURITY MUST LIGHT THE WAY. The word and dream were never for just IHOPKC, but for the body of Christ. IHOPKC has become a timeclock on the world stage. 

HOUSE OF PRAYER X-OUT?
No doubt by now you know that more sin, abuse and compromise has been exposed in Kansas City. As the crisis plays out, IHOPKC has taken the unprecedented step of permanently separating from Mike Bickle. Many are warning of a downfall. Is the House of Prayer about to be X’ed out?

It sure looks that way. The greatest hope for recovery is a rededication of covenant through genuine repentance that allows IHOPKC to become a pure altar for the Lord Jesus Christ. And I can assure you God has been passionate about gaining this pure altar ever since the first fire was kindled upon it. I know this because, well, I was there. 

From virtually my first days at IHOPKC I became aware of significant compromise that was opening the gates of the house to crazy spiritual warfare. Collateral damage had already become almost overwhelming. And worst of all, leadership was making no major shift into the very repentance necessary to shut the gates to the enemy. 

As you can imagine, this made my time at IHOPKC ultimately one one of great sacrifice. A single overarching vision kept me in the trenches. A promise from His heart that I believe extends into this present hour, and prophesies the potential future of both the movement and our nation. 

Hear me in this. One way or another the direction will be settled in 2024. 

Vision—from ‘X’ to Bridal Canopy
Back in 1997 a friend of mine saw a vision of an ‘X’ extended across our nation. The center of the ‘X’ was in the Kansas City area. The vision clearly conveyed how forces of darkness wanted to ‘X’ America out. 

Another friend was told of this ‘X’ vision and prayed into it. He began to see a fresh vision. The ‘X’ was turned into a bridal canopy, with the center pole in the Kansas City area. 

My friends, by the way, Cindy Jacobs and Dutch Sheets respectively, then engaged me in a prophetic action bearing witness to His covenantal restoration. Not long after that I moved to Colorado Springs to work with them. Not long after that I moved to Kansas City to help see this bridal canopy of God’s glory secured. 

“When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the bloodshed of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and the spirit of burning, then the Lord will create over the entire area of Mount Zion and over her assemblies a cloud by day, even smoke; and the brightness of a flaming fire by night; for over all THE GLORY WILL BE A (BRIDAL) CANOPY” (Isaiah 4:4-5). 

Then as now, the Lord continues to seek a pure altar of covenant in Kansas City. Which makes the current purging at IHOPKC very difficult but also very necessary. The Lord is lighting a lamp, and calling for teshuvah.

Again, please let the prophetic drama playing out on the world stage actually penetrate your heart. Hear the voice of purity, crying out a single word. Teshuvah. Start 2024 with a resolve for your own heart to become a pure altar of covenant once again. 

Only then can we see the fallen tabernacle of David restored, and His covenant covering finally secured across the nation.
