LIGHT THE GATES! PRAY FOR JERUSALEM, NYC

“O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie… and in thy dark streets shineth an Everlasting Light…”

Terror at Jaffa Gate
While the world sings “O Little Child of Bethlehem,” terror in the Holy Land is striking the heart of both Jews and Christians. Pray!

This afternoon in Jerusalem, a stabbing attack occurred just outside the Jaffa Gate. Three Jews were wounded, one critically, while the two attackers were shot and killed by police.

Demarcated by David’s Citadel nearby, the gate is a primary entryway for tourists, connecting the upscale Mamilla Mall with the Old City. It serves as a primary gateway for David’s Tomb and the Upper Room on Mount Zion. Jaffa Gate also serves as a primary route into the Western Wall, and to the historic Christ Church where Christmas Eve services have become a Jerusalem tradition.

Hamas Cell Planned Suicide Bombings
News also broke today that a large terror cell affiliated with Hamas has been producing large amounts of explosives in east Jerusalem for use in suicide bombings, in an attempt to escalate the violence exponentially. The terror cell was involved in the production of bombs and the recruitment of suicide bombers. It was taken down by Shin Bet based on alerts from the Palestinian Authority.

And it led to the discovery of another terror cell, operating out of Bethlehem… the city where Jesus was born.

Warning! Pray for New York City
In America, Homeland Security warnings have echoed specific prophetic warnings for New York City over the holidays. Lets keep praying for terror cells to be exposed and plots disrupted through Christmas and New Years Eve. Enjoy the holidays, but please keep watch!

Announcing “Light the Gates!”
With this at heart, I want to announce the prayer project that will launch us into the new year. “Light the Gates” will encompass a focused time of prayer and fasting in Washington DC from January 4-25, followed by onsite intercessory projects through February 22.

During Revolution 2016, Chuck Pierce reiterated the need to “secure the gates of the future.” I feel in my spirit we need to take this very seriously. Plan on accessing Throne Room authority to governmentally shut the gates of sabotage and see supernatural enemies quarantined and restrained!

Last week Jolene had a dream and woke up saying, “Light the Gates!” Though we were planning on calling the project “Securing the Gates,” I knew immediately on hearing Jolene’s word that we were to call it “Light the Gates.” God’s word admonishes us not to be conformed to the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather expose them. Shine the light!

Right now, false illumination is attempting to overtake many of our gates. But fresh clarity from the Throne is on its way. Just like the Maccabees, lets reconsecrate our gates to the Lord by bringing God’s holy illumination to our world. Lets light the gates!

And with that, below are the lyrics to “O Little Town of Bethlehem.” Glory is indeed breaking through! May these decrees prevail over darkness. Shalom to you, and Merry Christmas to all.

O Little Town of Bethlehem—Lyrics
O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie! Above thy deep and dreamless sleep the silent stars go by.

Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting Light; The hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight. For Christ is born of Mary, and gathered all above, While mortals sleep, the angels keep their watch of wond’ring love.

O morning stars, together proclaim the holy birth, And praises sing to God the King, and peace to men on earth! How silently, how silently, the wondrous Gift is giv’n; So God imparts to human hearts the blessings of His Heav’n.

No ear may hear His coming, but in this world of sin, Where meek souls will receive Him still, the dear Christ enters in. Where children pure and happy pray to the blessed Child, Where misery cries out to Thee, Son of the mother mild; Where charity stands watching and faith holds wide the door, The dark night wakes, the glory breaks, and Christmas comes once more.

O holy Child of Bethlehem, descend to us, we pray; Cast out our sin, and enter in, be born in us today.

We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell; Oh, come to us, abide with us, our Lord Emmanuel!
