As we begin to engage in Redeem America ’24, lets sanctify this month for fasting, prayer, and a deep dive into Scriptures. Mark my words, you will need the sword of God’s word this year like no other. So join us for Redeem America ’24—Warrior’s Sword!
GREETINGS FRIENDS,
FIRST—HELLO TESHUVAH. We are all in this season. A message today from IHOPKC really provoked me, in all the best ways.
Starting with the simple request, “Lord lift the fog,” Forerunner Church pastor Isaac Bennett led the IHOPKC community into an extended season of repentance today. His message and mandate—spot on! I want to make clear that the Lamplighter family stands with IHOPKC through this season of repentance and repair. Lets all continue to intercede.
Not a coincidence that the Kansas City Chiefs won today. By seven, the number of covenant. There’s prophetic significance to this that may even carry over to the IHOPKC arena. Another story for another day.

WARNING DREAM—STAY ON MISSION
Remember in this season God wants to sharpen you into a Warrior’s sword. While in prayer early this morning over a dream, I heard the Lord say, “Stay on mission!”
We can all attest that God’s refining process unfolds as we move along the path He calls us to. Usually before breakthrough there’s every reason to run. And before, during and after we all have to deal with distractions. A throne room reply to all the above remains, “Stay on mission.”
Here’s the dream from this morning.
Jolene and I were in Hawaii with my father, as well as our son and daughter. It wasn’t fully clear why. A group of ministry leaders were with us as well. We indulged in a beautiful day by exploring the resort and taking in the ocean and sun.
I was in a very large indoor/outdoor pool area, seemingly one of two in the resort. I looked across the pool and saw a prophet who had been struggling, making his way towards the group for ministry. When he saw me, he kind of froze. Realizing his hesitancy, I excused myself so the opportunity could be retained for Jolene and the broader team to pray for him. I walked away to explore other areas of the resort.
My dad was working on a project almost the entire time, enjoying only a little down-time earlier in the morning. I found him alone in a large, dimly lit command center where he was intensely monitoring activity on a few large screens. When I conveyed my displeasure he wasn’t taking a break with us, he looked visibly hurt over my remark. While I wanted him to leave with me, he wanted me to stay with him.
For me the sun won. I exited the dimly lit control room and explored other pools in the resort.
In a lane of the pool, an oversized man was swimming when a little kid pushed him. The oversized man literally rolled over sideways. I joked to myself, it was just like little David defeating Goliath.
Then in an isolated area of the resort I somehow got caught up with a group of sales people. Last folks you want to get surrounded by at a resort!
We went up an elevator together and out to some terrace. A dialogue ensued. And it turned out these young adults weren’t salespeople, they were a covert special ops team on assignment. There was a firm compulsion by the team for me to keep on with them, conveying there was something important to show me. The did not seem evil or threatening, but nor did they seem good.
Fending off fear that I might actually be the target of their special ops assignment, I flowed with them in conversation and then attempted to gracefully bow out, mentioning a promise to meet my dad. They seemed surprised, almost fearful, that my father was here. And I began to realize they knew more about my family and me than they should and this wasn’t a random convergence. One lady showed a weapon. Then I woke up.
Lessons from the Dream
When I prayed I felt the Lord highlighting two things. First, stay on mission and stay vigilant. Downtime is important, family is important, but yielding to distractions can pull you in directions that can drain you, and even imperil you and your assignment. Ouch!
A second word sealed the worth of the dream. In prayer the Lord reminded me how He encountered me in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in 2021. This was where the Lord commissioned me into “the commander anointing.” He then warned me of attacks on our homeland similar to Pearl Harbor, and similar to 9-11. It has set the course of much of our ministry ever since.
In my dream this morning I saw how I had so focused on Hawaii as a resort vacation that I blew right past my father’s work, as well as his reaction to my pursuit. Whereas I had come to Hawaii only to tune out, My father had come to Hawaii to enter into a vigilant watch. Alone.
Ironically, by forsaking my Father’s invitation I ended up surrounded by the very danger He was seeking to prevent. Where would you rather be—with your Father keeping watch or inadvertently at Ground Zero, with no way to overcome the enemy’s plan against you, your family, your nation?
Friends there’s a price to pay to remain active in the fullness of your calling. But there’s actually a greater price to pay by not yielding. In the spirit of TESHUVAH, Father God forgive me for all the times you were directing me to keep watch when I resisted the call. With all my heart I want to abide in You, and I want to serve you, even when it’s inconvenient. Please have mercy Lord. In Jesus’ Name.
I’m not saying you have to forsake that tropical vacation. Just know that in God’s heart, there may be more to your visit than just a little downtime. Stay vigilant. Even more importantly, stay tuned in and attentive to your Father’s heart, to the direction He is conveying to you. The stakes may be far higher than you can imagine. STAY ON MISSION.
