REDEEM AMERICA ‘24—WARRIOR’S SWORD PROJECT! January 24-February 24, 2024. “I will make you like a warrior’s sword…” (Zech. 9:13). This year, the Lord wants to sharpen you to become His sword in the earth. As we begin to engage in Redeem America ’24, lets sanctify this month for fasting, prayer, and a deep dive into Scriptures. Lets renew our sensitivity to the voice of His word. Lets ask the Lord to strengthen our spirit, sharpen our intellect, and prepare us to possess the ground beyond the doors He is opening for us.
Mark my words, you will need the sword of God’s word this year like no other. So join us for Redeem America ’24—Warrior’s Sword!
GREETINGS FRIENDS,
GO WITH THE FLOW. That’s just my recommendation. Especially after boarding our homeward bound flight today. I opened my MacBook to write today’s posting, and immediately I heard the Lord say, “I will make you like a Warrior’s Sword!” And suddenly I saw how the project we are all invited to engage in these next four weeks will be a much greater adventure than anticipated.
Warrior’s sword. Thank you Lord! That’s a prophetic word promise for Jolene and me, and it’s even more a promise for you.
The passage from which this word is drawn is incredible. Let His word saturate your spirit today. I encourage you to even read the passage aloud. Remember, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of the Lord!
As for you also, because of the blood of My covenant with you, I have set your prisoners free from the waterless pit. Return to the stronghold, you prisoners who have the hope: This very day I am declaring that I will restore double to you. For I will bend Judah as My bow, and fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will stir up your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece; AND I WILL MAKE YOU LIKE A WARRIOR’S SWORD.
Then the Lord will appear over them, and His arrow will go forth like lightning; And the Lord God will blow the trumpet, and march in the storm winds of the south. The Lord of armies will protect them… (Zech. 9:11-15).
Here are eight questions for you to answer through this project:
1. How does God want you to engage with Him to fashion you into His warrior sword? Begin with intentional devotional times in His word. Deep dives bring safe landings. Sharp landings 🙂
2. Parallel question—where do your heart and intellect need sharpening? How does God desire to strengthen your spirit? What ties need to be cut for confusion and vexation to dissipate?
3. In this year the enemy may seek to “X you out,” personally and as a nation. But God desires for you to overcome. In what ways are you engaging with Him to “come up higher?” What aspects of your flesh need circumcised to seal your covenant with Him?
And here’s the big ask. Will you yield to His sword?
4. How are you entering into covenant with Jesus Christ over your sphere? Psalm 132 is a vital model for this season. Just as David restored the Ark of the Covenant, so He is calling many of you to re-establish covenant alignment as a foundation for your future. How will your covenant establish a throne for Him to rest on?
5. What aspect of your inheritance do you believe God wants you to possess in 2024? Where has Jezebel gained a stronghold over your promised land? What is God’s strategy to dethrone this covenant-breaking spirit?
6. What training do you need to sharpen your sword?
7. The Song of Songs pictures men of valor with swords by their sides to guard against the terror of the night. How effective are you at guarding your family? The leaders in your life? How are you interceding for Israel right now?
8. What does it mean for God to Redeem America? What will America look like with this victory?
