Burning-Lamp-Wall

Prayer Call Wednesday! 9PM EST. Conference call number: 805-399-1200 access code 552-690. Use *6 to mute/unmute. Invite your friends to join us!

“For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation as a LAMP THAT BURNS” (Isaiah 62:1).

Davids Tent begins tonight… from Washington to Washington! My good friend Jason Hubbard and their team just launched the 24/7 “Davids Tent Olympia” on their state capital grounds. Awesome!

Meanwhile, the official “opening night celebration” for Davids Tent DC has been pushed back to tomorrow evening, September 16. This is due to a very important security exercise being carried out today. Our 24/7 worship watch still begins on the Ellipse—just with a few friends, a guitar, and a bench instead of a tent.

Burning Lamp Watch
Welcome to the Burning Lamp Watch. Holy Spirit quickened to us last week that our 911 Watch was going to shift. Not long after, I had another conversation with Jason Hershey. Turns out that Jason has been consumed by a deep burden that this Davids Tent would be marked by Holy Spirit fire. He shared this cry on our prayer call last Wednesday evening.

And I couldn’t agree more. Our Burning Lamp Watch is thus engaged! As Davids Tent intercessors, please ask the Lord continually for God’s fire personally, and for this 24-7 expression on the White House Ellipse. LET THERE BE LIGHT!

The Awakening Alarm is Sounding—For What?
Yesterday we explored a few key prayer targets the Lord is now emphasizing to us. Today I want to share another primary focus, made real through a prophetic experience this Saturday.

Many of you have contacted us recently about the intensity you are sensing in the Spirit. Internal alarms are going off—the “awakening alarm” is sounding. And yet for us at least, the clarity on why as been elusive.

Granted, there are more than enough dire concerns to keep us in 24-7 prayer for a lifetime. Despite earnest efforts to chart a different course, we just declared war on radical Islamist militants, marking our third venture to Iraq. Ebola is spreading and may be mutating. Prophetic warnings of potential terrorism on our homeland have actually increased. Elections are coming up.

What exactly is the Lord warning of? All of these, no doubt. We need to cover every one of them in prayer. That said—as of Saturday, a fresh burden has come to the forefront.

Prophetic Experience—For Zion’s Sake…
I was not actually on my watch when the Lord brought His answer. I was in the shower. My eyes welled up with tears, and I “heard” wailing in my spirit as things seemed to erupt all around. Intuitively I knew Israel was in danger.

Friends, I personally have never had a prophetic experience like this before—hearing and perceiving as if in the moment. Israel may not be much on your radar right now, because it seems the war with Hamas has ended. But I’m conveying to you with urgency we need to pray for God’s covenant land. Please take some time to pray now in the Spirit. Ask the Lord to expose and thwart all terrorist strikes, counter all rockets, and restrain all efforts to release bioterrorism. Pray for America’s alliance with Israel to remain firm.

Pray for Israel as you would pray for your own land. “For Zion’s sake I will not hold my peace, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest, until her righteousness goes forth like brightness, and her salvation as a LAMP THAT BURNS” (Isaiah 62:1).

What We Know
It seems like Israel is always facing some kind of danger, even existential threats. A few current warnings are listed below. But it’s important to understand that what we do not know is way more important than what we do know. That’s why it’s imperative to pray in the Spirit.

Fall Feasts—Prophetically, many including myself have sensed to pray against terrorist strikes in America around the Jewish fall feasts. That is a primary reason I felt we needed to extend our watch through Yom Kippur.

Could this warning be for Israel too? I don’t know. Israeli media reported that Hamas had been planning major terror strikes over Rosh Hashanah before their conflict decimated the Gaza organization. Intel on this was discovered on a Hamas computer after a raid.

Northern Border Crisis—Syria is a bridge between Iraq and Israel. Though ISIS forces decided to aim for Baghdad before Jerusalem, it goes without saying that conquering Israel is their ultimate goal.

That said, fighting between non-ISIS Syrian rebels and Assad’s forces have reached the Golan Heights on Israel’s northern border. UN peacekeepers have been evacuated.

Hezbollah Strike—What’s more, Israel IDF forces are warning that Hezbollah, a Shiite terrorist organization heavily resourced by Iran, may be poised to strike in Galilee from Lebanon. According to the Jerusalem Post: “Although a war is unlikely at this time, the IDF is preparing to fight Hezbollah, which has developed new offensive cross-border capabilities alongside its massive arsenal of rockets and missiles, a senior military source said on Sunday.” Article here.

European Anti-Semitism—It’s on the rise, despite best efforts. At a weekend rally countering this rising tide, German chancellor declared anti-semitism is an attack “against all of Germany.” This follows swelling reports of abuse in the nation.

Iran—The nation is still arming Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon, as mentioned. I do feel an urgency to continue praying about Iran and for Iran by the Holy Spirit.

Covenant blessings to each of you…
