Prayer Call Weds! 9PM EST. Jon & Jolene on! Conference call number: 805-399-1200 access code 552-690. Use *6 to mute/unmute. Invite your friends to join us

Today is Tisha b’Av, and I am sounding the “awakening alarm.” As chronicled in our last posting, we felt a warning to pray against potential terrorist strikes during this time. So far today, two major events have occurred.

First, a US Army General was shot and killed by a man in an Afghan military uniform who opened fire at American and NATO troops at a training facility near Kabul, Afghanistan. At least fifteen others were wounded. Reports are saying the General was the highest level military officer yet killed in Afghanistan.

Second, an alleged terrorist was taken from a Qatar passenger jet in Manchester England after the pilot called in a warning about a suspicious device onboard. RAF fighter jets escorted the plane to a safe landing at Manchester airport.

Take some time to intercede right now. Pray for our intelligence community and military, as well as police etc in your own regions. They are watchmen on the wall in the natural, as many of you are watchmen on the wall in the Spirit. Lord expose now all potential acts of sabotage and terrorism before any plans are executed. Bring deliverance from the “snares of the trapper and from the deadly pestilence!” (Psalm 91:3). We declare they are exposed and disempowered spiritually and naturally NOW, in Jesus’ Name!

Below is Psalm 91. When prophet Bob Jones began to sound the alarm to pray during the time of Tisha b’Av back in the mid 1990s, the Holy Spirit gave him these passages as the Lord’s answer to the enemy’s threats. I cannot think of a more appropriate plea before the Throne in this hour. Jolene and I encourage you to pray through each passage carefully and intentionally, seeking Holy Spirit’s revelation and direction.

Covenant blessings to you—and thank you for standing on the wall!

Psalm 91
He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
Will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.

I will say to the Lord, “My refuge and my fortress,
My God, in whom I trust!”

For it is He who delivers you from the snare of the trapper
And from the deadly pestilence.

He will cover you with His pinions,
And under His wings you may seek refuge;
His faithfulness is a shield and bulwark.

You will not be afraid of the terror by night,
Or of the arrow that flies by day;

Of the pestilence that [a]stalks in darkness,
Or of the destruction that lays waste at noon.

A thousand may fall at your side
And ten thousand at your right hand,
But it shall not approach you.

You will only look on with your eyes
And see the recompense of the wicked.

For you have made the Lord, my refuge,
Even the Most High, your dwelling place.

No evil will befall you,
Nor will any plague come near your tent.

For He will give His angels charge concerning you,
To guard you in all your ways.

They will bear you up in their hands,
That you do not strike your foot against a stone.

You will tread upon the lion and cobra,
The young lion and the serpent you will trample down.

“Because he has loved Me, therefore I will deliver him;
I will set him securely on high, because he has known My name.

“He will call upon Me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble;
I will rescue him and honor him.

“With a long life I will satisfy him
And let him see My salvation.”
