Supreme Court—Please Pray!
Today the Supreme Court upheld the Constitutional right of legislative bodies to commence their gatherings with prayer, and even invoke the Name of Jesus as part of their prayer.

Considering both the clear Constitutional justification and the heritage of our founders in commencing legislative sessions with prayer, this verdict SHOULD come as no surprise. However, with the many twists and turns of government and prayer recently, this judgment in favor of the saints was by no means guaranteed. So I encourage you to view this verdict as a HISTORIC PRECEDENT—and lets thank God accordingly.

Receiving Breakthrough on Your Prayer Projects
I don’t think it’s coincidence that the posting I have been working on for today is called “Your Tears in Heaven’s Court.” In many respects it’s a follow-up on both the Passover story and on recent postings regarding abortion. Because the forced abortions of the Jews under Pharaoh’s captivity became the final tipping point for God’s judgment to be released. And to release these unprecedented judgments in the sight of the nations… you will be astounded to know that the evidence presented was the cries and tears of His people.

It’s the same way today. What have you been crying out for before God’s Throne? What has provoked you to tears before Heaven’s Court? Today we’re going to learn to ask the Lord to remember our cries through the years, and render His verdict on our behalf to set a new course of breakthrough.

Passover Verdict: New Move of God
Recently I shared my sense that Passover 2014, dramatically highlighted by a blood moon, demarcates a time where a new move of deliverance is being globally released by the Lord. “Let My people go” is a cry again resounding by the Holy Spirit! The deliverance of the Jews—from prejudice, slavery and mandated abortion—into freedom set a precedent for the nations of the earth.

Friends, this is a fact that every leader should be paying close attention to in this hour. Because as in the days of Exodus, His justice is no longer being delayed.

Understanding Heaven’s justice is key to gaining your deliverance. Further, gaining this revelation may just transform your never-ending prayer projects into a season of breakthrough by the Spirit of God!

To set the stage a bit, the Jews were coming through 400 years of slavery. Their cries to the Lord for deliverance were increased exponentially when Pharaoh mandated that every firstborn Jewish male be put to death, drowned in the Nile River, as recorded in Exodus 1:22.

It’s more than an interesting coincidence that 1-22 of 1973 is the date that the Supreme Court legalized abortion in our land. Is God conveying that our legacy has somehow been woven into Pharaoh’s evil intent? Certainly a point worth pondering.

Your Tears in Heaven’s Court
The trauma inflicted by Pharaoh upon every Jewish family was tactically designed to break the will of God’s chosen people. At their most helpless state, God’s compassion and justice brought Israel into their greatest deliverance.

“Now it came about in the course of those many days that the king of Egypt died. And the sons of Israel sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out; and their cry for help because of their bondage rose up to God. So God heard their groaning; and God remembered His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. God saw the sons of Israel, and God took notice of them” (Exodus 2:23-25).

God is neither a negligent Father nor a distant Bridegroom. He cares deeply, feels deeply, and responds wholeheartedly. The truth is that, in response to the cries of His people, the Lord was about to do something absolutely unprecedented among the nations. He Himself was about to “start a revolution” against Pharaoh, and deliver an entire people group from subjugation to freedom.

And to justify His work to the nations, the Lord convened the Court of Heaven.

Lets look at the phrase “God heard their groaning.” The Hebrew word for “heard” is “shama.” And a primary definition of “shama” is a “court room hearing.” God literally convened a courtroom hearing, and presented as evidence the cries of His people. He reviewed each case, person by person, family by family. He heard their groanings.

And He judged in their favor! You see how this courtroom hearing provoked the Lord to “remember His covenant.” The Hebrew word for “remember” in this case implies far more than rediscovering something He somehow forgot. “Zakar” actually means to “take to heart, ponder, and set a course of action.” The prophet Zechariah was actually named according to this meaning. Again and again, the pleas of biblical prayers are for God to “zakar” their plight—to take to heart their circumstances, and set a new course of action for the future. In other words, to render a verdict on their behalf.

Verdict Rendered, Verdict Executed
And that’s exactly what He did here. Exodus 2 records how Heaven’s Court was convened, and His verdict rendered. Exodus 12 records How the verdict He rendered was actually executed.

“For I will go through the land of Egypt on that night, and will strike down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgments—I am the Lord” (Exodus 12:12).

Then and now, the Blood of the Lamb is our only justification and preservation! This is perhaps the greatest lesson of Passover. “The blood shall be a sign for you on the houses where you live; and when I see the blood I will pass over you, and no plague will befall you to destroy you when I strike the land of Egypt” (Exodus 12:13).

Judging in Favor of YOUR CRIES
But that’s not my primary point here. My point is that in rendering judgment, the Lord brought the collective cries of His people into Heaven’s Court—and presented their cries as evidence demanding a verdict in their favor!

That’s exactly what He wants you to consider in this hour. Many of you have been engaged in long, agonizing prayer projects—maybe for a loved one, maybe for justice in a given situation, maybe for your church, city or nation. There is a set time where He desires to bring your collective tears and prayers—and maybe even the prayers and cries of those who’ve interceded on these issues from ages past.

Ask the Lord to bring your heart-cries, your prayers and tears collectively before Heaven’s Court, and render judgment in your favor. Remind Him of your prayers. By virtue of the body and blood of Jesus Christ, ask Him to grant speedy justice, and set a new course for Heaven’s breakthrough in response your prayers!

Two Examples
I first discovered this principle in 2011, when the Spirit of God provoked us to remind the Lord of His promise to HAPN regarding the nation. He spoke to Katherine Watsey that if we would pray and receive His verdict of divorce at the altars of historic idolatry in each state, He would render judgment on our behalf by decreeing a new beginning with awakening and revival in our land. We had prayed at more than 10,000 altars of idolatry across our nation when, on July 4, 2011, He led us to present this “finished work” before Him.

We followed through. At the Lincoln Memorial, we presented together the collective cries, prayers and acts of obedience before His Throne, asking for the judgment in favor of the saints. We asked for awakening. We asked for a “New Birth of Freedom,” asking for God’s hand in marriage again according to our covenantal foundations. We asked for God to “crack the hard shell of demonic resistance” in Washington DC.

Most of you know how, 50 days later, the Washington Monument cracked in an earthquake as God literally thundered His verdict to the metro DC Region. So interesting that the earthquake measured 5.8 on the richter scale. I dare you to read Revelation 5:8, and Revelation 8:5 in context with this.

What was God’s judgment? Divorce from Baal granted! Marriage to Jesus granted! Hard shell of demonic resistance CRACKED!

One more quick story. By the Spirit, we were led to stand as lawyers in Heaven’s Court again on the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade. It’s humanly impossible to measure the heartbreak, tears and prayers of God’s children since 1-22-1973. But the Lord showed us how He was literally holding court over these very prayers, and judging in favor of the saints.

Most of you again know the story. The year 2013 saw the greatest breakthroughs regarding abortion seen in 40 years. More than 80 clinics shuttered their doors. Almost half the states in the nation redefined their legislation on abortion. And as Heaven’s Court was in session, horrific injustices related to abortion were exposed as courts of earth were reviewing the case of late-term abortionist Kermit Gosnell. The conscience of the nation was finally penetrated. And a new course has indeed been set!

I share all this to introduce you to this principle. God wants to receive the collective prayers of your prayer project, and judge in your favor? I encourage you to explore with the Lord which prayer projects have come to the point where God is ready to render a verdict and release His answer. Pray! Don’t be afraid to approach the Bench and ask for His verdict in favor of the saints! (Daniel 7:22). Trust Holy Spirit to make His verdict clear, as well as any further steps necessary to fully secure the verdict both He and you desire. Remember that Christ’s own body and blood is your justification.

And get ready—your life, and the lives you’ve been praying for, are about to be forever changed! Covenant blessings!
