DEAR GLORY SOJOURNERS,
“TARRY IN JERUSALEM until you are endued with power from on High!” The mandate Jesus gave His disciples following His resurrection must have shocked them. Tarry? Pray? In one accord? In Jerusalem, the capitol city where we are being hunted as heretics?
How long?
Of course they must have known Jesus had a plan in all this. Honestly that might have been what scared them. Because the plan of God for the redemption of Israel and mankind had just taken some them through some unexpected twists and turns that shook them to the core.
They waited. They tarried. They prayed until. And on Shavuot, Holy Spirit came. The Glory of God was restored to His people in Jerusalem.
Ezekiel saw the Glory. He saw a consuming fire surrounded by swirling winds, with lightning breaking forth from the core. Maybe it was not a coincidence that when Holy Spirit fell again, He came as a mighty rushing wind, releasing bursts of fire into each person.
Ezekiel was summoned by God to witness the Glory depart Jerusalem because His people had chosen idolatry. They were thrust into capitivity. The weight of His presence had not been experienced in her streets ever since. That is, until God’s eternal covenant was repaired and sealed by Jesus through the cross.
The Lord is summoning us all to the same high calling in this hour. Covenant with Jesus has launched us all into an Isaiah 54 season. The Glory Train is rollin’ again! Now through Pentecost, lets stand together on the promise for His movement to be fully birthed.
I want to give a shout out to Lou Engle here. He has called for a 40 day Jesus Fast until Pentecost beginning today. Can’t make this stuff up.
The message from Heaven cannot be more clear. Across the nation and world, it’s time to chase the Glory—for His Name’s sake!
