DEAR FRIENDS,
GARLAND THOMAS IS A MOTORCYCLE GANG LEADER. He is also an apostle. A great father. A veteran. He leads a powerful church in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, headquarters of the Cherokee nation. Jolene, myself and Chris Mitchell just experienced an incredible weekend with Apostle Garland at his church, sharing and imparting a dimension of the Elijah anointing. Garland also serves as the Oklahoma leader for the Heartland Apostolic Prayer Network.
And in 2016, the title “Lazarus” was added to his roster of titles.
Here’s a brief synopsis. Garland was midway through a powerful, prayer journey to the four corners of America when a deer suddenly burst out in front of him. His motorcycle tumbled and crushed into the impact. Garland was thrown from his bike. Life-flighted to a hospital, his heart stopped beating en route. As family and friends across the nation warred in the spirit on Garland’s behalf, Garland somehow came back to life.
The story is astonishing. And in a heartbreaking way it was played out before the intercessory leaders of the nation, Jolene and me included as we scrambled for information and prayed. Heartbreaking until, against all odds, the story turned.
This subject is so sacred I don’t know if we’re even going to touch it tomorrow. If not, hopefully we’ll get that honor sometime soon. But as we stand in the gap for Israel and America, for children held hostage by Hamas, and for a turnaround for your respective families, there’s not a better man to share and lead us than this humble leader whose life was miraculously preserved.
All you really have to know is this. Garland is an incredible sign that Jesus is faithful to complete the turnaround He has begun.
