TURN THE STORM TOUR SEPT. 1-13—EXPANDED ITINERARY AT END OF POST
DEAR FRIENDS,
IT’S TIME TO BREAK THROUGH LIMITATIONS! And by this you are preparing the way of the Lord, for you and your children.
Ungodly limitations are barriers that keep you from obtaining God’s best. They may be self-imposed. They may be imposed by others. They may be cyclical, embedded within your generational line. They may be even be territorial, ancient in origin yet recently re-empowered.
And because of these limitations, some of you literally feel cornered by the enemy.
Last week we had a consecration and commissioning service in Jacksonville FL, preparing for our “Turn the Storm Tour.” During our time in Jacksonville, the Lord released above of breakthrough from even national limitations. Thank you Lauren Main for your extravagant care and prayer in hosting the meeting! I literally felt the shift, like a weight that lifted from the depth of my being. And all I can say is, get ready for breakthrough!
The first step in receiving your breakthrough is identifying the limitation, and breaking your agreement with it! We suggest that you then come into covenant with the Lord to see the breakthrough manifested. That’s exactly what we did in Jacksonville. And as you and I enter into covenant with the Lord, or realign with His covenant, His hand is loosed to deliver us from the hand of EVERY ADVERSARY (2 Kings 17:38-39).
Beyond the Line in the Sand
Earlier on Friday Jolene and I visited the sands of Matanzas, where Huguenot leader Jean Ribault and his people were brutally slain by Spanish Conquistadors. It’s been 20 years since my first visit. Because exactly two decades ago, Holy Spirit spoke to me “I am arising to avenge the blood of My martyrs, the Huguenots, in this land.” At the time I did not even know what a Huguenot was.
And as a son of the Pilgrims, it was quite a surprise to discover that Huguenots were also a covenant community of religious refugees, persecuted because of their dedication to Jesus Christ and to the prophetic ministry He entrusted to them. They were literally the wild ones of their day, prophesying to power in France. And it got them in trouble. Eventually persecution from the monarchy overwhelmed the group, and forced them into a diaspora.
Back to Matanzas. The Spanish Conquistadors drew a line in the sand. Those who conformed to the Conquistadores’ beliefs and renounced their faith in Christ were to be spared. Those who held to Christ were to be beheaded. “These men do not even die as Frenchmen, but as infidels, because they have betrayed the Catholic faith!”
The Huguenot company became the first Protestant martyrs on the soil of what would soon become the United States of America. Huguenot leader Jean Ribault was chief among those who refused to conform. “Remember the afflictions of Your servant Jean!” He cried out, citing Psalm 132. What they lived for, they died to gain for you and me. And a generational covenant between God and man for this nation was established, which would even transcend death, as God remembered the dedication of His friends.
Setting the Trap Again
At the Matanzas beach, I saw how an antichrist confederation of religious and political spirits were again coming together and conspiring to take out God’s covenant people. To trap you by the core beliefs of biblical virtue which you hold as sacred. Forcing you to either conform or suffer punishment and become marginalized.
And it is now time for these limitations to break.
Where has the enemy drawn a line in the sand in your life? Where have generational bondages manifested to confine you today? What promises from God have been in confinement, under the restrictions of a religious-political spirit?
As friends prophesied to us Friday during our commissioning, our God is a God of breakthrough. And covenants with death and hell which have empowered resistance against your destiny, and the destiny and freedom of your children, have been annulled (Isaiah 28). Many of these ancient barriers must must now give way as we step forward in faith. You will see these barriers overcome!
