“Tolerating the weaponization of governmental institutions for political means demarcates the beginning of dictatorship. This cycle must now cease”—from today’s post.

DEAR FRIENDS,
FIRST—THANK YOU TO ALL WHO SOWED towards the Watch of the Breaker Project and Turnaround Jerusalem! We were honored to present your gifts to the Lord while praying at the ancient altar of Melchizedek, in the City of David. Our team was granted a private tour with Eli Shukron, the legendary Israeli archeologist who discovered this sacred site.

As Melchizedek blessed Abraham, so we prayed for God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth, to bless you (Gen. 14:19). May you receive His covenantal protection, a perpetual stream of provision, and grace to possess the covenant land that He has promised you, in Jesus’ Name!

SECOND—THANK YOU FOR PRAYING WITH US ON 7-22! Three themes were carried through all 21 days, culminating with the Jerusalem Turnaround. First the protection of Israel and America from the Iranian nuclear threat. Second the release of the Spirit of Elijah for this generation. Third a continuance of freedom governance for Israel and America.

The evening of 7-22 unexpectedly became a stunning pivot point in Jerusalem when 200,000 Israelis converged on the Knesset to protest the judicial overhaul bill just before its final vote. Some gave comparisons to the January 6 protest. In both cases, the fear of succumbing to dictatorship loomed large.

Amidst such unprecedented turmoil and division—in the face of Tisha B’Av—we understood why Holy Spirit spoke to us to seek Him this 7-22 in Jerusalem. A Daniel 7:22 “turnaround verdict” from Heaven’s Court was desperately needed for Israel’s advancement through their judicial crisis, as well as for America through ours.

“Blow the shofar in Zion. Sound the alarm on my holy mountain! … And let them say, “SPARE YOUR PEOPLE, Lord, and do not let Your inheritance become a reproach among the nations”  (Joel 2).

7-22—PM Netanyahu’s Life was Spared
Many divine turnarounds were immediately granted. For instance, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s life was literally spared on 7-22 from a heart attack. According to the Times of Israel:

Netanyahu, 73, appeared to urge (Defense Secretary) Gallant to have the same (heart) test done… Netanyahu then recalled how he started feeling pain after he had spoken with Gallant on THE NIGHT OF JULY 22, after which he was rushed to the hospital for a second time… (Full story CLICK HERE).

Apparently, around the time we began the 7-22 service and broadcast, while protesters encompassed the Knesset, PM Netanyahu was rushed to the hospital with an immediate heart crisis. AND GOD SPARED HIS LIFE.

Knowing nothing of this crisis, we felt led to fervently invoke God’s covenant mercies for PM Netanyahu’s protection as well as for all involved in the protests. Further, we prayed that “all covenants with death and hell be annulled” (Isaiah 28). That was a major aspect of the verdict the Lord granted.

Talk about prescience. God loves His people so much that He both provokes prayer and answers prayer in real-time. Hallelujah!

Israel and America—Justice Recalibration
Yesterday Donald Trump was indicted by the Department of Justice… again. He could face a life-long prison sentence if found guilty. Extracted from the trajectory of the past eight years, the alleged violations would absolutely cause shock and alarm within the American people. Maybe they should.

But in context with the continual storm of lies, deception, false accusations and fake news projected through the previous eight years, many Americans have simply shrugged it off. Why? Trust has been severely compromised. And in both Israel and America, what people seem most concerned about is actually the weaponization of governmental systems for political means.

Both nations continue to suffer tremendously from the ongoing weaponization of our respective judicial systems against rival leaders and political parties. In some cases the very leaders now bringing accusations of crimes against democracy actually initiated crimes against democracy by choosing this course!

And the vicious cycle serves only to weaken the democratic checks and balances that preserve rulership by the people. As the prophet Isaiah noted, “Truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter” (Isaiah 59:14).

Here’s what’s clear. Tolerating the weaponization of governmental institutions for political means demarcates the beginning of dictatorship. This cycle must now cease.

Both Israel and America are in severe need of a recalibration with Heaven’s justice system. In short, a judicial overhaul, God’s way. Both right and left intuitively know an urgent threat to democracy genuinely exists if this cycle is allowed to continue. Leaders across the political spectrum must overcome the temptation to weaponize their nation’s governance for their own benefit, at the expense of her citizens.

Prophetic Word—Time for Israel’s Constitution
At the beginning of the 7-22 service I received what I felt to be a prophetic word for PM Netanyahu. It is now time to use the leverage his party has gained to convene a Constitutional Congress that brings Heaven’s alignment to the governance of Israel, including a holistic balance of power that prevents any person or political party from turning Israel from democracy to dictatorship. This Constitution must be founded on covenant with the God of Israel, invoking Him to be enthroned by it, and to shamar—protect and defend—its precepts.

I noted that some of the finest constitutional scholars in America happen to be Jewish. And that most would likely be honored to serve as consultants.

When the governance of Israel was set in place by God through the ancients, three separate branches were established: Prophet, Priest and King. In keeping with the Torah, three separate but equal branches of governance—Judicial, Legislative and Executive—should again be considered.

“For the Lord is our judge, the Lord is our lawgiver, the Lord is our king; He will save us!” (Isaiah 33:22).

Covenant Freedom—Yours for the Taking
In closing, I believe God spared Netanyahu’s life on 7-22 in part for the Prime Minister to lead Israel, as a father to the nation, towards establishing a Constitution for Israel’s governance. This is so needed to perpetuate God’s covenantal freedom in the land.

I believe this pursuit would change the momentum of national dialogue. It carries the potential to ignite the highest aspirations of all Israelis, and unite the land in a renewed hope for the future. IDF reservists would sign back up to fight for a land and governance they could again strongly believe in.

And a nation destabilized by division would again arise as one.

My wife Jolene and I have been praying for PM Netanyahu since 2015, when he faced a hard election after standing virtually alone against the Iranian nuclear accords. In fact we traveled to Israel to intercede during the final 10 days of that election, invoking Daniel 7:22 for the turnaround we felt God wanted. It came to pass.

And it is with great respect I write that, from God’s own generous hand, the opportunity to now lead Israel towards establishing a Constitutional foundation for freedom governance is his for the asking. It’s definitely now time.

21 I kept watching, and that horn was waging war with the saints and prevailing against them, 22 until the Ancient of Days came and judgment was passed in favor of the saints of the Highest One, and the time arrived when the saints took possession of the kingdom” (Dan. 7:21-22).
