DEAR FRIENDS,
OFFICIALLY, THE 21 DAY PERIOD “BETWEEN THE STRAITS” or “dire straits” on the Hebrew calendar takes place from July 2-22 this year. With 7-22 being Tisha b’Av. But unofficially we’ve already started. That’s because, on a very practical level, we are between the straits right now. And it’s more than just the flow of oil through the Straits of Hormuz—though the IRGC is obviously still threatening to hold the entire world hostage.  

In this post we’re going to share a broader perspective. And we’re going to share prophetic insights that transcend even the urgency of the hour. Like, what is the Lord after through this process? 

Probably like you, Jolene and I have been seeking the face of God for answers. And the Lord began to answer me just today. 

Between the Straits
Remember this period of time is first about Israel and the Jewish people. It’s a 21-day time of teshuvah, the Hebraic word for repentance or turnaround. It is a continual appeal to Heaven while remembering the tragic losses suffered generationally on these very days.

Without a doubt Israel is once again facing an existential threat. The peace deal may or may not delay the onslaught. But the wealth generation from the MOU alone definitely provides the IRGC with an opportunity to re-arm at an even higher level. And IRGC leaders have also declared they intend to re-empower Hezbollah and, as stated even today, resurrect Hamas.

Remember October 7. No wonder Israel, our closest ally in the Mideast, feels betrayed right now. So do the people of Iran, who were previously instructed to take to the streets with America’s backing. Even during recent MOU negotiations, the IRGC was mercilessly punishing the protesters. 

None of what’s transpiring makes any sense. Which is why during this time between the straits, we genuinely need to set our eyes and hearts on God’s Throne. Lets make our appeal to Heaven! Daniel is a great prototype. So is Elijah. “As surely as the Lord God of Israel lives, before whom I stand…” 

In a moment I will share a key prophetic perspective the Lord gave me today. I must confess it was right before my eyes the entire time. 

But first, let me explain why the fight we’re engaged in is not just over the destiny of Iran or Israel. The United States itself is between the straits.

US—Governance by Democratic Socialists?
As we prepare for our upcoming west coast tour, election results have shocked the nation. The selected candidates of NYC democratic socialist mayor Mamdani won big last night. And Washington DC primaries just saw a democratic socialist win the nomination for mayor of our Nation’s Capitol! 

This trend largely began on the west coast. So lets evaluate what has been exported. Take an honest look at Seattle, or Portland, or San Francisco, where socialist policies continue to destabilize businesses and neighborhoods while empowering lawlessness.  Beautiful, safe and prosperous areas have collapsed into war zones. Drug use, violence and other criminal activities remain unchecked, right out in the open. Many people, and many corporations, are making an exodus. Even Starbucks is moving their headquarters. 

Remember, where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But lawlessness is completely different than liberty. It leads to societal decline and desolation. And the first civil right usually trampled on is religious freedom. 

FRIENDS, FOR THE WEST COAST AND THE NATION, WE NEED A TURNAROUND. 

Here’s another honest observation. Many leaders and intercessors now find themselves fighting despondency while standing in the gap between the way things are and the way God wants them to be. If that’s you, I’ve got good news for you. Here’s what the Lord showed me prophetically today. It’s been right before my eyes without my even realizing it. 

Isaiah 22 Testing
By God’s grace, America is in a period of testing during this time between the straits which is similar to the days of Shebna and Eliakim, as found in Isaiah 22, We are being refined. 

Please read through the entire chapter. It begins with a crisis in “the Valley of Vision.” While the leadership was partying, the soldiers of Elam was arming themselves to lay siege on Jerusalem. They were picking up their quivers. 

Ancient Elam is modern Iran. Elam had quivers of arrows. Modern Elam, or Iran, possesses storehouses of missiles. Same arrows, just more advanced technology.

And just today, the IRGC declared their defiance of the MOU. They are keeping their missile supply no matter what. No negotiation on the arrows that have already devastated many of its mideast neighbors, including Israel. And that could one day carry a nuclear warhead. 

In the midst of the ancient crisis with Iran, the God of Israel called His people to a day of mourning, fasting and praying. This is so important. Most of the top leaders did not heed the call. According to the Bible, the advanced technology of Israel’s weaponry and defensive systems made their leaders feel secure. According to the Bible, their attitude was, “Let us eat and drink for tomorrow we may die!” 

Therefore on that day the Lord God of armies called you to weeping, to wailing, to shaving the head, and to wearing sackcloth.

Instead, there is joy and jubilation, killing of cattle and slaughtering of sheep, eating of meat and drinking of wine: “Let’s eat and drink, for tomorrow we may die.”

But the Lord of armies revealed Himself to me:
“Certainly this wrongdoing will not be forgiven you… I will summon My servant Eliakim!” (Isaiah 22:12-14, 20 .

Passing the Eliakim Test!
I need to immediately point out that America’s top leaders, beginning with President Trump, have already hosted such a day before the Lord, on May 17. President Trump read through 2 Chronicles 7:14, in which God promises the healing of the land in response to our humility and repentance. House Speaker Mike Johnson then led in the rededication of our Nation to the Lord Jesus Christ!

And presenting this rededication will remain front-and-center as we approach the Ancient of Days on 7-22. 

But leading to this vital date, we are being summoned to take 21 days to follow the pattern of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and embrace teshuvah at an even deeper level. Feel free to start now. 

And watch this, please. The true purpose of the Lord for this entire test was actually to justify a changing of the guard. From Shebna to Eliakim (see Isaiah 22:22).

7-14 The Appeal
I believe the Lord wants to preserve and perpetuate American freedom this year. Included in this is an Eliakim shift. Our alignment with His covenant, and His covenantal purposes for America, Israel and Iran are vitally key. 

As in the days of Eliakim we are now between the straits. LETS MAKE OUR APPEAL TO HEAVEN. 

And mark this on your calendar. On July 14 or 7-14 we are gathering in the Capitol of Sacramento for this very purpose. Following the pattern of 2 Chronicles 7:14 and Isaiah 22, we will be fasting, praying and making our appeal to Heaven. Fully believing that this united appeal will be met in power by the unsealing of God’s Dan. 7:22 verdict on 7-22, as we gather again in Alaska.

Please set July 14, 7-14, apart to join us. You may not be able to make Sacramento in person, but you can certainly join us before God’s Throne. 

And again, let us together MAKE OUR APPEAL.
