Israel's 9-11

I’m on an early morning flight home from Dallas to Washington DC. First time flying on 9-11. Not out of fear, but out of remembrance and respect for those who perished on the day airlines became weapons of terror and our world was forever changed.

As I fly into DC, two landmarks are on my heart. I hope to see Davids Tent from the air, as worship begins today near the Washington Monument. I also hope to catch a glimpse of the Pentagon with the Star Spangled Banner unfurled as after the tragic strikes.

A Second 9-11?
Throughout the Storm Beacon Prayer Project I have warned by Holy Spirit that 9-11-15 could go down in history as a “second 9-11.” A window of time that could again redefine our world.

Democrats yesterday blocked the resolution of Senate Republicans seeking to nullify the Iran nuclear accords. Although other efforts are still underway, it now appears that the deal will remain essentially unchallenged. This is very much according to the dream the Lord gave me the day before the accords were announced.

I saw a midnight hour for Washington DC. Our Capitol rested on the side of a huge hill, leading to the precipice of a cliff. Friends were streaming in for Davids Tent. And at the same time I saw a tsunami wave beginning to crest over the top of the cliff. I felt the Lord was saying that Capitol Hill was a last line of defense.

The details of the dream conveyed that the wave came just before 9-11. And with the stand by Congress to preserve Obama’s treaty yesterday, this part of the prophetic warning has proven hauntingly true.

Substance of the Wave
Please don’t look today for terrorist strikes or sudden economic downturns. That’s not what this wave is about. And there’s no need to see the wave to know it is here.

As of 9-11, our highest walls of defense have essentially been breached—with the apparent agreement of our highest leaders. More than anything else, I believe the wave represents the misguided, and apparently ignored, consequences of the Iranian nuclear accords. The immediate release of 150 billion dollars in frozen assets to Iran actually empowers the primary terrorist state on the globe to increase their proxy wars against Israel, Sunni nations, and against US interests. Possibly unleashing a Mideast nuclear arms race. And perhaps, as Gary Beaton warned, even igniting a third infatada against Israel and America.

Israel’s 9-11
As the Iranian nuclear accords now take flight, the imagery of the timing is absolutely undeniable. A second 9-11 is at hand. A crash is virtually unavoidable.

From my perspective, this second 9-11 is really Israel’s 9-11. Headlines from CNN yesterday made this perfectly clear. Democrats had just blocked the resolution of disapproval, and a banner flashed above another headline that caught my eye. This headline announced:

“Iran’s Supreme Leader: There will be no such thing as Israel in 25 years.”

On the very day—actually at the very hour resistance to the Iranian accords was voted down, Iran’s Khameni vowed again to wipe Israel off the map. “There will be no such thing as Israel in 25 years,” he brazenly declared.

And the crazy thing is, Obama and Congress just gave him 150 billion dollars to help his vision come to pass. How could America’s strongest ally in the Mideast not feel betrayed?

Netanyahu’s Warning to Congress
Piercing words were spoken by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu when he addressed this same Congress on the eve of Purim. Even down to Khameni’s tweet yesterday, they still prove hauntingly prophetic. On September 11, 2015, lets put them in remembrance.

“Tomorrow night, on the Jewish holiday of Purim, we’ll read the Book of Esther… Queen Esther exposed the plot and gave for the Jewish people the right to defend themselves against their enemies. The plot was foiled. Our people were saved. Today the Jewish people face another attempt by yet another Persian potentate to destroy us. 

Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei spews the oldest hatred, the oldest hatred of anti-Semitism with the newest technology… He tweets in English that Israel must be destroyed!

In this deadly game of thrones, there’s no place for America or for Israel, no peace for Christians, Jews or Muslims who don’t share the Islamist medieval creed, no rights for women, no freedom for anyone. So when it comes to Iran and ISIS, the enemy of your enemy… is your enemy!

We must always remember — I’ll say it one more time — the greatest dangers facing our world is the marriage of militant Islam with nuclear weapons.

This deal won’t be a farewell to arms. It would be a farewell to arms control. And the Middle East would soon be crisscrossed by nuclear tripwires. 

Before lifting (economic) restrictions, the world should demand that Iran do three things. First, stop its aggression against its neighbors in the Middle East. Second, stop supporting terrorism around the world. And third, stop threatening to annihilate my country, Israel, the one and only Jewish state.

My friends, for over a year, we’ve been told that no deal is better than a bad deal. Well, this is a bad deal. It’s a very bad deal. We’re better off without it. Now we’re being told that the only alternative to this bad deal is war. That’s just not true. The alternative to this bad deal is a much better deal!

(Nodding to Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor and Nobel winner) And I wish I could promise you, Elie, that the lessons of history have been learned. I can only urge the leaders of the world not to repeat the mistakes of the past. Not to sacrifice the future for the present; not to ignore aggression in the hopes of gaining an illusory peace.

But I can guarantee you this, the days when the Jewish people remained passive in the face of genocidal enemies, those days are over.

This is why, as a prime minister of Israel, I can promise you one more thing: Even if Israel has to stand alone, Israel will stand.
