A Page has Turned in Rome
Certainly a page has turned in Rome, with yesterday’s inauguration of the first American ever appointed to the highest seat of the global Catholic Church. Pope Leo XIV addressed a crowd of 250,000 with a brief homily emphasizing peace and family values.

Time will tell if Pope Leo will truly guide the church towards Jesus Christ and towards the biblical values that have become somewhat compromised through this past season. Glad you are praying. But our time in Rome, attending a European-wide apostolic/prophetic gathering hosted by Mario Bramnick with Cindy Jacobs, marked an incredible intersection with the Pope’s inauguration. 

Visit to Milvio Bridge
A day beforehand we prayed on the Milvio bridge where the legendary Constantine saw a vision of the cross some 1700 years ago, and defeated his rival to become Emperor of the Roman Empire. Because of the vision and the victory, he mandated that Christianity become the official religion of the Roman Empire. The decision brought a lot of good, and also a lot of harm. But it was launched through what appears to be a legitimate prophetic directive from the Lord. 

Of course, the Nicaea Council was convened out of Constantine’s decision to Christianize the empire. We are touring Turkey, visiting the lampstand cities and ancient Nicaea on the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea. 

Just a little perspective on the incredible time gate we are in. 

So why Rome, Lord? Why now? 

In prayer I sensed the Lord declaring the same word He gave over the presidential inauguration, written about in our book End Times in Real Time. Man has inaugurated a Pope, but God has inaugurated a new season of history. A dramatic acceleration into what the Bible calls the end times.

Leo Means Lion
But why Leo? When Cardinal Robert Prevost accepted the call to serve as Pope, he chose Leo XIV to honor the legacy of a previous pope who fought for workers rights during the industrial revolution.

But there’s more. 

Leo means lion. Prophetically, whether he’s fully cognizant of this or not, Leo has called himself after the Lion of the tribe of Judah.  Of course, “Lion of Judah” was the declaration over Jesus the Messiah when He was inaugurated, as recorded in Revelation 5. 

In a world ruled by the Roman Empire, it was sacrilegious for the Apostle John to openly declare that a Jewish Messianic figure now rules the world at a higher authority than the emperor. So my prayer for the new Pope is that he will fully align with the Lion of Judah in both heart and action, with a fresh revelatory discovery of who this Lion really is. 

Including His heart for the Jewish people. Lord give Pope Leo courage to continue with “Nostra aetate,” turning the global church away from the antisemitic doctrines empowered by Constantine and the Council of Nicaea, and turning fully towards clear biblical doctrine. Jesus was not killed by the Jews. We killed Him. Because in His love He took the sentence of death for us all. 

As it is, the Lion’s heart will be hard to miss. Because as was prophesied in Rome on the eve of Pope Leo’s inauguration, the Lion of Judah is now roaring.
