DEAR SPRING CLEANERS,
SWING FOR THE STARS, AIM FOR THE SON. That’s really good advice as we launch into day two of our Spring Training prayer project. Your investment in this season of learning, practice, disciplined effort and growth will have dividends. It’s time to pray big and dream big. Keep your focus always on Jesus! 

And He will see you through the coming storm.

Spring Training—Trump Dream & Call to Prayer
Yesterday’s call was really powerful. I closed by sharing revelation on “the Mantle of the Ancient of Days,” which we are focusing on today. 

As I sat down to write, I sensed an urgency to mobilize prayer for President Trump. In fact, the dream I shared last week, which I originally received two years ago, began to replay in my spirit once again. Trump leading “spring training” with his baseball team. Trump and team walking off the field as the skies darkened with a sudden storm. White horses appearing—the war horses of the Lord. Trump walking by in a blue suit and red “Make America Great Again” hat, catching my eye and saying, “You gotta keep praying for me.” 

This dream, combined with Jolene’s “spring training” word, initiated the Spring Training prayer project. The dream conveyed a call to training—to establishing a new level of teamwork and learning to synergize together for greater effectiveness. And it conveyed a call to prayer—among other things, to make it through coming storms through prayer. (To read the full posting of the dream, click here). 

THE MANTLE OF THE ANCIENT OF DAYS
It is important to note this word was governmentally released from Alaska. During their 50 state tour, Chuck Pierce and Dutch Sheets prophesied that Alaska is the gateway for North America to the Ancient of Days. We certainly found this to be true. 

When the prophet Daniel saw Heaven’s Court, he identified God not only as the righteous judge but as the Ancient of Days. The Lord presides as the Ancient of Days because He is eternal. In other words, He knows your past, your present and your future. He knows the secrets of your family line. He knows when your forefather sinned, bowing his knee to Baal and thereby opening your entire generational line to darkness. He knows when you entered into this cycle and perpetuated the darkness. And He stands willing to apply the verdict already granted to Jesus and you to see you completely forgiven, your generational line completely cleansed. With a new covering released which reflects your new identity. The mantle of the Ancient of Days!

As background, last Friday evening our Alaska ministry team was invited to the secluded home of a potential candidate for Alaskan government. He and his wife are strong believers, but for nine years he had not heard the voice of God. Yolanda McCune led the team in praying for him. He heard God the same night—for the first time in nine years. 

And as he gathered us after dinner, what he revealed startled us all. Because the voice of God did not direct him about running for office—yet, at least. Instead he was instructed by the Lord to present a gift to a Native American leader. A man destined to be chief of his tribe. 

The presentation was actually a leather coat made for a chief. Our friend purchased it 30 years ago in the very region of Alaska this Native leader is from. It’s entirely possible one of his relatives made the coat. The first word our friend heard after 9 years was to give the coat to the tribal leader next in line to be chief. And when the leader tried it on, this jacket fashioned 30 years ago fit him perfectly! 

Can’t make this stuff up.

When these events played out before our eyes, I was simply stunned. Because I had already been preparing the night’s message on Zechariah 3, the Kingship anointing, and releasing the Mantle of the Ancient of Days when this presentation was made. It was a sign to us. And it is a sign to you who are reading this right now. It’s time for a new identity, completely separated from the past. It’s time for old mantles to be removed, and new mantles to be received from Heaven for the new season we are in.

Heaven’s Court—Facing Charges
Zechariah 3 provides the model for this transaction. The prophet and author introduces us to Joshua, the High Priest of the move of restoration and transformation in Israel after his people were released from exile. Joshua was essentially chosen by both his God and his people to “Make Israel Great Again.” 

And he is pictured standing before the very Throne of God, in what should be a scene conveying the fulfillment of his call to his people. The only problem is, it wasn’t. Joshua is not there voluntarily. Remember, the throne of God’s beauty is also the court of God’s justice. And Joshua was is dragged into this court as a criminal, facing charges by his Accuser. 

“Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the Lord, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him. The Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! Indeed, the Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?” Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments and standing before the angel. He spoke and said to those who were standing before him, saying, “Remove the filthy garments from him.” Again he said to him, “See, I have taken your iniquity away from you and will clothe you with festal robes.” Then I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.” So they put a clean turban on his head and clothed him with garments, while the angel of the Lord was standing by. 

And the angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying, “Thus says the Lord of hosts, ‘If you will walk in My ways and if you will perform My service, then you will also govern My house and also have charge of My courts, and I will grant you free access among these who are standing here” (Zechariah 3:1-7). 

Verdict—Joshua Redeemed
In Zechariah’s vision, the Lord rebukes Satan and redeems Joshua. Note that this redemption cost the Father everything. He sent another Joshua—Yeshua, or Jesus, His only begotten Son—to pay the full price for all of your sins and iniquities, and mine. He  suffered on the cross in our place. This was a legal transaction. The only act of intercession which has ever fully satisfied the requirements of Heaven’s Court! He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we may become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Cor. 5:21).. The body and blood of Jesus Christ, the Passover Lamb, is ultimately your only justification before a holy God! 

We better never forget this. Ever. Your vindication comes only by Christ’s own body and blood. 

Verdict—Remove the Filthy Garments!
As the Judge, God’s next action before Heaven’s Court was to remove from Joshua the High Priest the filthy garments he was wearing, which represented his iniquities. Note that the priestly robes were passed down from generation to generation, so Joshua literally inherited his garments from his forefathers in the priesthood. Seeing that God sent all Israel into Babylonian exile because of the sins of his forefathers in the priesthood, it’s no wonder the robes were stained.

Friends, the mantle or robe Joshua wore represented the weight of sin, iniquity and shame in his life. The mantle itself literally bore witness to Satan’s accusations. This weight marred his core identity. It crippled his emotional capacities and his spiritual capacities. It sabotaged his potential.

Watch this now. The verdict granted by Heaven’s Court not only redeemed Joshua from this sin—with the Accuser rebuked—it also STRIPPED HIM OF IT. Present sin and generational sin removed! This is how comprehensive Christ’s salvation actually is! You no longer have to be conformed to the weight of shame and sin imposed on you. Because of Christ, it is now a false covering instead of a genuine representation of your condition. It no longer owns you, and longer has to define you. LORD REMOVE THE FALSE MANTLE!

The order then came, again as part of this verdict from the Ancient of Days, for Joshua to be remantled. With a mantle literally from the Ancient of Days. 

You have received a Daniel 7:22 verdict of justice in favor of the saints. In the process of receiving it you have been delivered from the power of the Accuser. You have experienced the fullness of Christ’s redemption. The filthy garments of shame and reproach are removed. A new identity is given, your full potential is becoming unlocked. You are recommissioned into the office you attained when you entered into this process. And in the spirit realm, your covering is recovered. In fact, you are granted new garments which bear witness to your new life and identity!

A turnaround mantle. The mantle of the Ancient of Days. 

Verdict—Kingship Identity, Kingship Anointing
Final note. This deliverance not only ushered Joshua the High Priest into freedom to fulfill his current calling, it also prepared him for his next phase of promotion from the Lord. Kingship. 

“Take silver and gold, make an ornate crown and set it on the head of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Then say to him, ‘Thus says the Lord of hosts, “Behold, a man whose name is Branch, for He will branch out from where He is; and He will build the temple of the Lord. Yes, it is He who will build the temple of the Lord, and He who will bear the honor and sit and rule on His throne. Thus, He will be a priest on His throne, and the counsel of peace will be between the two offices.”’ Now the crown will become a reminder in the temple of the Lord…” (Zech. 6:11-14).

We don’t have enough time to develop this any more today. But the “turnaround verdict” forever sealed by Jesus, in favor of the saints, is that we who came into Heaven’s Court as criminals are actually redeemed to be His priests and kings (Rev. 5:8-9). 

And we will reign on the earth. Now that, friends, is a genuine turnaround. And we have entered into the season where this facet of God’s redemption will be manifested much more fully in our lives. Kingship. A new identity and a new anointing, empowered by the mantle of the Ancient of Days. 

And it’s yours for the asking. So amazing! Not that there isn’t a process to walk through. But the generous heart of God will cover us, and bring us safely through the storm into the fullness of His call.

No King but Jesus…
