DEAR COVENANT WATCHMEN,
GIVE ME LIBERTY… GIVE ME LIFE! Similar to David, we have sojourned through a week of threshing, consecration and repentance. Tonight we move towards Pentecost. At the Lord’s instruction we are engaging in a week of presenting our costly offerings to the Lord. From family to family, city to city and state to state, may your altar connect with Heaven’s Throne! May the windows of Heaven be opened in a new way, and the devourer restrained.
And may we, like David, see a miracle. In David’s day the plague stopped at the threshing floor. Fire came down from Heaven to consume the costly offering presented on the altar. So will it be in our time!
Please prepare your covenant altar in preparation. Tonight we will begin by receiving communion, and those who desire to give will have the opportunity. We are grateful for your donation. You are not only sowing into Lamplighter but into ministries featured on the conference calls. And later in the week you will have the opportunity to sow into the ministries touching Israel on the Zoom calls!
I’m sure that as David presented his costly offering, he had no idea how profoundly God would respond in a way that set the course for generations to come. The very altar he purchased became the foundation for the Temple that his son Solomon later built. And the Lord poured into David the equivalent of billions of dollars to fully establish the Temple in Jerusalem, the capitol of his land.
That is how much the Lord was moved by David’s heart and abandoned generosity during his time of crisis. And it makes me wonder how the Lord is going to move in our time in response to your offerings, and mine. What does He have planned that we are, without even knowing, laying the foundation for as we give ourselves to Him?
