CALL 911! PROPHETIC PERSPECTIVE BY JASON HUBBARD
Years ago, my good friend Jason Hubbard and I decided to get a coffee together at Starbucks. Jason is a transformational prayer leader, director of the Light of the World Prayer Center in Bellingham WA. A half hour turned into an entire afternoon as we unpacked together our prophetic histories related to “911 warnings.”
I know, we’re a party waiting to happen.
Call 911. Both of us received the same exact phrase from the Lord—myself with Dutch Sheets on the Kettle Tour, shortly before September 11, 2001. Jason sovereignly, as you are about to discover.
Further, Jason’s alert so closely paralleled Jolene’s “Shelter from the Storm” dream it was astounding. God was emphasizing from coast to coast that He is establishing the end-time Amos 9:11 mandate to restore the Tabernacle of David to provide protection in the midst of coming storms.
I’ll never forget that day. Largely because every time we started sharing another story, sirens rang out across Bellingham. For at least a few hours. Can’t make that up.

CALL 911! JASON HUBBARD
In the fall of 2008, I was at home waiting for the election results and fell asleep on my couch. Suddenly I woke up as my son handed me the phone. On the other end of the line I hear the question, “sir is there emergency in your house?” I look up on our TV screen and it had just been announced, “President Obama had been elected.” My son Joshua who was 3 at the time had accidently dialed 911 and the emergency operator had called us back.
I immediately sensed from the Lord that yes our nation was in a state of emergency, and like my son we needed to “call 911” for help. The Holy Spirit highlighted two Scriptures to me, the first was Psalm 91:1, “He who dwells in the shelter/secret place of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty.” I was provoked by the Spirit that I needed to return to the Lord as my dwelling place of refuge, and shelter from the storm that was approaching. I had fallen asleep on my couch, and needed a wake -up call! After spending time studying and meditating on Psalm 91, I was confronted in my own life, “am I really dwelling and abiding with the Lord in my everyday life?”
May the sirens sound and awaken each of us from our slumber. May we all return to the Lord, to the secret place of the Most High!
When Jesus spoke of prayer to his disciples he said to them, “go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret.” God is calling us to remove the distractions of the world (close the door), and get back to the secret place of intimacy with the Father in the place of prayer. He doesn’t want our motivation in prayer to be a ‘show.’ He wants real relationship with us!
The second Scripture was Amos 9:11,
“In that day I will raise up the booth of David that is fallen and repair its breaches, and raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old.”
This Scripture is also quoted by James in Acts 15:15-16 at the Jerusalem council,
“And with this the words of the prophets agree, just as it is written, ‘After this I will return, and I will rebuild the tent of David that has fallen; I will rebuild its ruins, and I will restore it, that the remnant[a] of mankind may seek the Lord, and all the Gentiles who are called by my name, says the Lord, who makes these things”
Just as David had established 24/7 prayer, praise and worship before the ark of the covenant in Jerusalem, both Amos and James were declaring God’s intention to see his people, now both Jew and Gentile, gathering in continual prayer, praise and worship, ministering first before him! I believe the only enduring motivation behind prayer and worship is that Jesus is worthy to be sought! Right now unending, ceaseless adoration and incense is being offered to the Worthy Lamb, standing at the center of throne (Rev. 4-5). If that’s the pattern of worship and prayer in heaven so let it be in every city in this nation!
David’s heart cry was expressed in Psalm 27:4-5,
“One thing have I asked of the Lord, that will I seek after: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord and to inquire[a] in his temple. For he will hide me in his shelter (secret place) in the day of trouble; he will conceal me under the cover of his tent; he will lift me high upon a rock.”
Again he is our shelter, our dwelling place in the day of trouble! This is not a day to fear ‘what’s coming?” This is a day to praise the name of the Lord!
“from the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised!” (Ps. 113:3)
God declares to Malachi 1:11 that he wants this praise in every place that his name might be great among the nations!
“ For from the rising of the sun to its setting my name will be[a] great among the nations, and in every place incense will be offered to my name, and a pure offering. For my name will be great among the nations, says the Lord of hosts.” (Mal. 1:11)
God gets the Glory and we get the Joy! I love the 7 promises at the end of Psalm 91 for those who truly make the Lord their dwelling place, “because he holds fast to me in love, I will…
- Deliver him
- Rescue him
- Answer him when he calls to me
- Be with him in trouble
- Honor him
- Satisfy him with long life
- Show him my salvation
How do we make God our dwelling?
I think the most practical way that we come back to God as our dwelling place is through simple, meditation on the word of God! (Ps. 1:2-3). We spend time in long and loving mediation on the written word of God! To meditate means to ponder by speaking to oneself. We speak back to God the very things he has spoken to us. It takes time in slow repetition, feeling the weight of every verse and connecting in personal dialogue with the Lord. Just as it takes time for our bodies to break down, absorb, and digest physical food, so it is with the Word of God! God’s word feeds us (Matt. 4:4), awakens us (Ps. 19:7), cleanses us (Eph. 5:26), purifies us (Heb. 4:12-13), prospers us (Ps. 1:2-3), sanctifies us (John 17:17), and equips us for every good work of ministry (2 Tim. 3:16-17)! As Col. 3:16 writes, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly”
As we approach 9/11, reflecting back on all that transpired, let’s return to Psalm 91:1, and resolve to make the Lord our dwelling place! Every time we hear the emergency sirens, let’s wake up from our slumber and return to the word of the Lord! And not just individually but let’s intentionally gather together family by family, church by church and see a canopy of united, day and night prayer praise and worship established in our cities (Amos 9:11). I believe that we are on the crest of a New wave of Glory, a Tsunami of the Knowledge of the Glory of the Lord that is about ready to come crashing in on the shores of our nation, from coast to coast, from Washington to Washington! It’s Time to Call 9-1-1!

Thank You Jolene and Jon for Jason Hubbards article. I had never considered the Word as a type of natural food. We can feel and sense natural food breaking up crunching munching, knowing that the food is going into our body. Then an unseen work takes place in our body~WOW something to think about!
