Glory! We are having an incredible time in New England. The leaves are in full bloom. Having traveled and prayed through Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont, we have now brought the Glory Train-Turnaround Tour to 49 out of the 50 states! Only Michigan remains.
I love how the Lord orchestrated our tour. We actually began on Yom Kippur, ministering in a “Jesus Tent” at DL Moody’s campus. Complete with a replica of the Ark of the Covenant, fashioned by an artist named Christ! You cannot make this stuff up.
The Feast of Tabernacles has now ushered us into Vermont. The Lord is truly tabernacling with His people in New England. Covenant with Jesus Christ has been restored. It’s now time for turnaround! But as you’ll see, we have some choices to make to access the turnaround the Lord has secured for us.
Naboth’s Resolve! Word for New England and the Nation
This Sunday, the first day of the Feast of Tabernacles, the Lord gave me a very strong word for the pastors, leaders and intercessors of New England. I now realize it is for the nation too. A summary of the word is below and I have also included the audio message for your review.
I had come early to the church, an old New England schoolhouse nestled on a hill with gently falling leaves, to read and pray before service. I was still waking up. Though my message for the morning was going to be on the Glory Train, I opened my Bible to the story of Naboth’s vineyard.
I chose to read on. And the following words overtook me like like a sudden and furious storm, literally leaping off the page at me. “The Lord forbid me I should give you the inheritance of my forefathers!” (1 Kings 21:3).
As a New Englander by birth, whose direct ancestor Richard Warren cut covenant with the Lord on the Mayflower, and whose revolutionary forefather Paul Revere ignited a revolution for our freedom, Naboth’s resolve struck me to the core. “God forbid I should give Jezebel the inheritance of my forefathers.”
This land is ours by inheritance. But like many of you, I had privately been wrestling with an encroaching apathy over the state of our nation. Repulsed by the circumstances, it seemed very sensible and very safe not to stir any more controversy. As a Christian, I could even justify my complacency with a superior faith in the overarching sovereignty of God.
God indeed is sovereign. But this “convenience” is a deceptive option. The Lord gave you a free will in which to glorify Him with your choices. You have been appointed as a steward of this land and its heritage. And in a day when dark forces are seeking to claim our land and negate our covenantal legacy in Christ, God is warning us all with unusual clarity.
It’s time to regain Naboth’s resolve. “God forbid I should give you the inheritance of our forefathers.”
Let me be clear. Your choices in this season you will either perpetuate the covenantal legacy God has entrusted to you, or you will literally yield your inheritance in this nation to Jezebel’s plunder. As you will see, God’s sovereignty will absolutely remain in play. But you will still be held accountable before Him for your choices.
By the way, the word “Naboth” in Hebrew literally means “prophetic word.” So I have a prophetic word for you. Do not give Jezebel the inheritance of your forefathers!
Real-Time Revelation
Under the anointing of Holy Spirit I read the passage through on Naboth’s Vineyard. Revelation I had never before perceived expanded before my eyes. I am not exaggerating. It all came in a matter of moments.
By His Spirit I saw Jezebel’s strategy to usurp Naboth and overtake his land. Lets explore this. King Ahab sought to purchase a vineyard from Naboth that had been in his family for generations. Naboth refused. This provoked Ahab and his wife Jezebel to take counsel from depths of hell to possess the land once entrusted to Naboth and his forefathers.
Jezebel—Media Strategy and Corrupted Verdict
Jezebel had a plan. She actually enacted a plan for Naboth to be tried in the court of public opinion so she could overtake his inheritance. She actually wrote the verdict at the same time she conjured up her strategy. Read this carefully.
So she wrote letters in Ahab’s name and sealed them with his seal, and sent letters to the elders and to the nobles who were living with Naboth in his city.
“Now she wrote in the letters, saying, Proclaim a fast and seat Naboth at the head of the people; and seat two worthless men before him, and let them testify against him, saying, “You cursed God and the king.” Then take him out and stone him to death (1 Kings 21:9-10).
What did Jezebel do? She created a trumped-up narrative accusing Naboth of wrong actions worthy of judgement. She then hired accusers to spread these lies. Justifying the action of taking out Naboth and thereby securing for Ahab the inheritance of Naboth’s forefathers. Here’s her sixfold strategy.
- Jezebel’s verdict. Jezebel crafted a verdict against Naboth as her intended outcome. In other words, the take-over must be perceived as being justified legally as well as in the court of public opinion.
- Jezebel’s deception. She then crafted a story that would fit the verdict. She literally covered herself with deception.
- Jezebel’s media. Jezebel sent letters. In other words, she employed the media to spread her lies. Creating a story and then spreading it abroad to influence the masses towards her desired end.
- Jezebel’s hired accusers. She recruited accusers to validate the claims of the media. She hired them to testify against Naboth. They probably also were tasked with finding additional “dirt” on Naboth that would justify his stoning. Because nobody on earth has led a perfect life, even those with noble and righteous intentions for the land.
- Jezebel’s sentence of death. Naboth was stoned. Jezebel’s verdict carried through!
- Jezebel takes the land. Then, with the legal backing of the court as well as the court of public opinion, Jezebel took Naboth’s vineyard.
Jezebel: False Verdict Trumped
Sound familiar? You can see why I believe this truly is real-time revelation for our hour.
Thankfully, the story does not end there. Elijah receives a word from the Lord which is actually a verdict from Heaven’s court. Note that Jesus’ verdict of truth trumps Jezebel’s verdict, which was based on deception.
This is so important. God has a trump card up his sleeve, just as Chuck Pierce has been prophesying for the past five years or so. No matter who wins our election. Heaven’s court of justice will prevail over the false justice perpetuated by Jezebel.
Arise, go down to meet Ahab king of Israel, who is in Samaria; behold, he is in the vineyard of Naboth where he has gone down to take possession of it.
You shall speak to him, saying, “Thus says the Lord, Have you murdered and also taken possession?” And you shall speak to him, saying “Thus says the Lord, in the place where the dogs licked up the blood of Naboth the dogs will lick up your blood, even yours… You have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord!” (1 Kings 21:18-21).
Please note this. You have sold yourself to do evil in the sight of the Lord. This is the second verse which literally leapt off the page at me. Remember that Jezebel served the Baals. How many of today’s politicians have bowed their knee to Baal? How many have yielded to Satan’s temptation, “Bow your knee to me and all this will be yours?” How many have covered themselves with deception, as conveyed in Isaiah 28?
Make a deal with the devil and there’s always—always—a price to pay. I guarantee you, Heaven’s court will bring intervention. The covenant with death and hell will be annulled, as conveyed in Isaiah 28. Ultimately God’s justice will prevail.
He indeed is sovereign. He renders His verdict of justice, and makes war to implement His verdict in the earth. He will always meet Naboth’s resolve with speedy justice.
On a personal level, know that Jezebel’s accusations are meant to paralyze you and therefore defraud you of your inheritance and destiny in Jesus. But the very body and blood of Jesus Christ has been granted to you to secure your verdict before His Throne. He has already countered the accusations of the accuser, and judged in your favor!
On a Personal Level
Jesus’ verdict alone can trump Jezebel’s false verdict over your life. The good news is you can see these verdict annulled. You don’t have to succumb to her verdict as your lasting identity!
Jesus has justified you. Refuse to let your past define your future. It’s time to break free from both Jezebel’s seductions and her accusations. Approach the bench of the Highest Court in the Kingdom of God. Repent where you have fed from Jezebel’s table— sexual immorality, coercion, accusation, provision tied to compromise. Receive your divorce from Baal, and the restraining order He longs to give you against the enemy’s harassment.
Receive His verdict of justice in your favor, granted at the cross. You can live free!
On a National Level
Friends, I wholeheartedly believe there’s still time to save our nation, and preserve the covenantal blessing entrusted to our land. I believe the Lord is exposing Jezebel’s deceptions so that we can see through them and advance in this hour. Our right decisions can secure our inheritance before the title deed is transferred.
That’s a prophetic word for you. But to receive this verdict you will need Naboth’s resolve. We together are standing against spiritual forces expressed through both parties as well as a very deceptive media bent on spreading propaganda instead of truth. Ultimately confronting spiritual forces determined to take our covenant inheritance and freedom through injustice, bringing our nation and nations into subjugation to the enemy.
