Launching the Midnight Cry
What an amazing time to launch the Midnight Cry Prayer Watch. From Washington to Washington, God’s people are awakening and worshipping. We together are shining our lamps in a way that breaks through the fog of apathy and deception. Lord, let there be light!

Paul Revere held out a burning lamp, and ran with a message of freedom. “No King but Jesus!” was the patriots’ cry when confronting dictatorship through the revolution. Make this yours as well. From our governmental seat of authority and from coast to coast, let us resound with this same midnight cry. Jesus, be enthroned as King of our nation!

And thank you for joining us in fervent prayer for these 22 days.

Candidate X–Enemy Strategy Revealed
Throughout the year we have explored Cindy Jacobs’ vision of a Bridal Canopy covering our land. We have seen how the enemy has tried to X us out, and how God is moving to canopy our nation with His grace and glory. We feel Davids Tent is a signpost of this work.

A week ago the Lord gave me a vision. Jolene and I were honored to be praying in the US Capitol. Sara Ballenger arranged the gathering, and we were joined by Matt Lockett, who you will hear from tonight, and a few dear friends.

In the vision, the Lord expanded on this Bridal Canopy vision. I saw the desk of a well-known Congressional leader, in the House chamber. A piece of notebook paper was on her desk, with an “X” drawn in pencil across it. I watched as the Lord literally erased the “X” the enemy had formed.

From X to Favor
Immediately I knew the enemy had targeted many leaders to “X them out.” He was attempting to marginalize or negate their God-given positions of leadership. But God was rising up to protect and advance them!

In the Capitol, we sought the Lord together for a Throne Room verdict in favor of His saints. We prayed in agreement with heaven for the X to be disempowered and removed, and for the blessing, favor and honor due His leaders to be fully restored.

Overcoming Sorcery Mixed with Deception
I also knew that part of the strategy to form this X was to energize deception and harm even through occult means, such as sorcery. Holy Spirit quickened how sorcery is being mixed with deception in an attempt to mesmerize the people.

Now that may sound a little out there–until we realize that accusation and slander can carry spiritual power, and is actually considered by God to be a form of sorcery!

This morning I received more confirmation on this. An esteemed prophetic friend emailed me with a warning about witchcraft and the elections. Father, restrain the enemy! Cut off the power of sorcery and deception. Topple the thrones tied to idolatry. Erase the X and release your covenant favor!

Shifting the Power Base
This is God’s intention for all seats of authority in this election. And we must stand for our leaders. Whether Democrat or Republican, Independent or Green I don’t really care. If the leaders are called by God and their platforms align with the values of Kingdom governance, they must not be allowed to be X-ed out!
