I was really stirred this morning by the presidential radio address. First Lady Michelle Obama made the unusual request to speak instead of her husband. Her cry, heartfelt and profound, has become the “Let My People Go” mandate for this hour. BRING BACK OUR GIRLS!

We have all already been praying for the 300 Nigerian girls kidnapped by Boko Haram. But Michelle Obama specifically requested your intercession for their safe release. Please follow through on this. Take some time before the Lord every day in intercession. And as we pray for the safe return of these courageous girls, whose sole “crime” was attending school another day to finish their final exams, lets pray for God to break the back of Boko Haram!

In other words, pray:

  1. For the occult shield hiding this group of Islamist militants to be disempowered, and both their location and activities exposed. Pray Isaiah 28! Ask the Lord to restrain all forces of Baal.
  2. For the leaders and soldiers to be caught immediately, literally stopped in their tracks—before they can either do more harm to the girls or sell them into slavery.
  3. For the safe return of these children from captivity, wherever they now are, and their full healing from all trauma inflicted.

You Are Uniquely Equipped for This Battle
Friends, I want to reiterate again this is the “Let My People Go” cause of the hour. God’s heart is intensively focused on Africa right now, and He wants to free the nations from the devastating sabotage of these self-proclaimed Pharaohs. I saw first-hand their still prevalent effects in Sierra Leone, ten years after the war ended.

Just as with Pharaoh, these guys are empowered by high-level witchcraft, and use their power to subjugate and enslave both the children they capture and the regions in which they strike. Much of the body of Christ is not really equipped to handle this kind of spiritual conflict. But you are. And together we can see results that are both immediate and sustained. God hears you!

So with all my heart I urge you to adopt this cause as a prayer project. Final point. The press is describing the First Lady as ‘outraged.’ But from the video posting of her radio address, what I saw was a righteous determination that both touches the heart and fiercely mandates change.

I wholeheartedly agree with the First Lady’s plea. Please take time now to view the address. LET MY PEOPLE GO—AND BRING BACK OUR GIRLS….
