HAPPY JULY 4! It was one year ago today that the Lord called me to begin writing “Turnaround Decrees.” Jolene and I knew then that the book would demarcate a new season in the Lord, where scrolls of destiny would begin to be accessed from the Throne at a higher level to launch and define the turnarounds He longs for in this season. As of July 4, 2022 it is indeed turnaround time!
We’ve already seen one of the greatest “turnaround decrees” in American history released from the Supreme Court, reversing nationally legalized abortion.The entire book has an underlying theme of turning the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the children to the fathers. And the Supreme Court verdict was officially released only three days after our book Turnaround Decrees was released. Quite a confirmation!
The story of my prophetic encounter on Independence Day is below, excerpted from chapter 1. Before we go there, Jolene and I want to THANK YOU for making this newest release so popular. The demand is very high. We are selling out everywhere we go. And over the past few days the book has risen in the Pentecostal/Charismatic ranks on Amazon from 181 to 31. A good start!
Below is the story. May you be inspired as we are to press into the Lord like never before. Because again, it’s turnaround time!
July 4, 2021—Vision of the Declaration of Independence
Early in the morning on July 4, 2021 a scroll appeared before me in a vision, hovering over our bed. It then unfurled. Similar to the Declaration of Independence and other historical parchments defining new eras for mankind, this scroll was golden brown and brighter in the middle than on the sides. It looked aged. But surprisingly it was completely blank.
In the midst of the vision I suddenly “knew” five things. First, scrolls from Heaven are now being released with the potential to dramatically reshape our world. We have come to refer to these scrolls as “turnaround decrees.” Tremendous authority is accompanying each “turnaround decree” to catalyze God’s intended breakthroughs.
God’s decrees frame the ages, the epochs, the eras. Just as “Let there be light” unleashed a new beginning for the world, so His decrees over your life can bring the light of dawn to your darkest hour, or to your children’s greatest challenge.
Which brings up the second point. I knew the blank scroll seen in the vision is being made available for each person who earnestly desires it. As with Queen Esther in her day, the Lord is inviting you to become an active participant in His rulership. Which means that you and I have a vital role to play in securing these decrees, seeking Him for revelation and then declaring words that change history.
“Now you write to the Jews as you see fit, in the king’s name, and seal it with the king’s signet ring; for a decree which is written in the name of the king and sealed with the king’s signet ring may not be revoked” (Esther 8:8).
The third “knowing” imparted in the experience is fascinating. The reason the scroll appeared aged is because the words which will soon fill it are not only going to impact the future, but the past. Through your efforts, the Lord’s decree will become a bridge through which His healing connects with the past, the present and the future all at once.
Please note that you cannot escape your past. But you can actually repair it. In a “Back to the Future” way you can repair your past to redeem your present, and restore His dream for your future. More on this soon.
The fourth thing I “knew” from the Lord is that from this point on in the story of America, everything is new. That’s another reason why the scroll is blank. It was as though the words of the Declaration of Independence, signed on July 4, 1776 by our founders, were awaiting sequels that ensured the continuance of its legacy. Freedom has not changed. But the challenges we face to secure, protect and defend our liberty have changed from the days of our founders. Freedom decrees are now being issued to define the eras ahead.
But there was a warning attached to this knowing. I saw how malign forces seek to take advantage of this “time gate” for new beginnings to erase our independence, replacing it with a dominion of veiled totalitarianism disguised as “freedom,” sourced in spiritual darkness. Literally a takeover. To accomplish their quest these forces are first seeking to eradicate our covenantal legacy in God.
The good news is that, at the very same time, Heaven’s gates are open to help us realign covenantally with the decrees of our foundational liberties in a way that reconciles our past and empowers this precious gift for generations to come.
Mark my words. Either we as a nation make this shift or we will eventually yield to the enemy’s intentions.
The “fifth knowing” is much more simple. From the vision of the unfurling scroll I knew that July 4, 2021, the anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, marked the date I was to begin writing “Turnaround Decrees.” The book began with this humble step of obedience.
I wonder if America’s founders were at all intimidated by the specter of filling the empty space on the scroll we now know as the Declaration of Independence. History bears witness that they struggled, they argued, they prayed. Amazingly their sacred decree started a revolution and birthed a freedom nation, turning the known world order upside down. My prayer is that the unfurling of these scrolls today will grant you, and perhaps our nation, a similar window of opportunity.
