DEAR FRIENDS,YOM KIPPUR 2022 IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT IN YEARS. Long-prophesied storms once far off are now at our thresholds. Yet even facing these unprecedented challenges, America’s defiance of God continues unabated. We are in desperate need of mercy—and that is our overarching plea for Yom Kippur 2022.

Thank you for praying with us through this extraordinary time between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, the national day of atonement and the holiest day of the Jewish calendar. Tradition holds that on Rosh Hashanah, God opens His “Book of Life” and pencils in His verdict for individuals and nations. We are then invited to engage Heaven’s Court and enter into repentance—teshuvah in Hebrew—and find His forgiveness. By His body and blood alone! Through this process we can receive a better verdict than our actions alone deserve.

As if to emphasize the urgency of this Yom Kippur, a tropical storm formed into Hurricane Ian over Rosh Hashanah, and hit southwest Florida with unimaginable fierceness. It then re-formed in the Atlantic and moved through the east coast. Remnants of Hurricane Ian were still enveloping Washington DC today on Yom Kippur.

That said, repentance—teshuvah—has consumed our hearts over these past few days. Jolene and I felt strongly to pray onsite both at Gettysburg and Fort McHenry. We are grateful to have been joined by powerful intercessors from Maryland in both places. Together we worshiped, prayed, and released the sound of Heaven’s shofars into the land!

In Gettysburg we sought the Lord for a “New Birth of Freedom” as an aspect of God’s verdict for this year. At Fort McHenry we sought the retention of America’s sovereignty under God, with the preservation of our corresponding freedom. In the shadow of the ramparts made famous by the “Star Spangled Banner” we also sought for the covenantal protection of our nation against the storms of military and terrorist strikes. In short, as Francis Scott Key wrote, that we would remain a Heaven-Rescued Land.

I am personally still trembling from the final words of the Gettysburg Address as we read aloud these sacred words on the very ground where Lincoln first released them. “That this Nation, under God, shall have a new birth of Freedom, and that government of the people, by the people, and for the people shall not perish from the earth…” 

Judgement in favor of the saints, according to Dan. 7:22! Here are seven aspects of the verdict we petitioned Heaven’s Court to receive.

  1. New Birth of Freedom!
  2. Heaven-Rescued Land.
  3. Awakening, revival, harvest. Come from the four winds o Breath, and breathe on these slain that they may live! Note that Dutch Sheets today released a word about a 13 colonies revival.
  4. 50 state turnaround for the 2022 elections. Judgement in favor of the saints! An Isaiah 22 shift from Shebnas to Eliakims.
  5. Exposure and protection from military and terrorist initiatives against the United States of America. 
  6. An Isaiah 6 visitation for God’s people. Unveiling of His majesty. Anointing of holy conviction. Take the coal, cleanse our lips! 
  7. An Isaiah 54 turnaround, breaking barrenness off the bride of Christ and bringing renewal and restoration to our land.
