DEAR FRIENDS,
HONOR AND REMEMBER. In the midst of parades, firing up the grill, beach time and family time, we hope you have been taking time to honor those who have given their lives for our nation. Always remember their legacy opened the door for yours. This is at the heart of Memorial Day.
Even more importantly, honor is at the very heart of the Kingdom. We are commanded to honor our fathers and mothers. “Honor your father and your mother, so that your days may be prolonged on the land which the LORD your God gives you” (Exodus 20:12).God promises that “Those who honor me I will honor, but those who despise me will be disdained” (1 Samuel 2:30). Very strong words!
Today lets explore what it means to honor, and to remember. Lets thank God for our freedom. And please take time now to pray for your sons and daughters. Ask the Lord to remove all residue of false teaching from woke ideology and restore hearts of honor towards parents. Check your own heart as well, to make sure honor is alive in your hearts.
