SYNAGOGUES. CHURCHES. SPORTS VENUES. HOLIDAY CELEBRATIONS. The joint FBI-DHS warning issued Tuesday came with unusual clarity and urgency.It is a wonder to me that it got so little attention in the news. Probably like you, after seeing it in passing I almost dismissed it. So glad I took the time to read the warning thoroughly. You should too!
Of course God has already given us a high-level alert, it’s why we’re engaging in this vigil. As shared on our Light the Night extended invitation broadcast, a conversation with Adam Schindler confirmed to me the need to keep watch. And that same conversation began to replay before me as the joint warning was issued.
According to both the DHS and the FBI, Hamas sleeper cells and other terrorist conglomerates in the United States may be targeting faith institutions as well as educational institutions and holiday celebrations in decentralized LONE WOLF ATTACKS, similar to Hamas’ savagery on October 7.
“Since the start of the war Oct. 7, various foreign terrorist groups have called for attacks in the US,” according to the warning. “Extremists motivated by racism or ethnic discrimination have also increased calls for violence and celebrated attacks on the Jewish community” (newsnationnow.com).
Terror strikes are especially likely if there is a further escalation in Israel’s war against Hamas. A fact which may have inspired President Biden’s call for Israel to de-escalate the war.
Which tactically is unacceptable for Israel. A lowering of intensity or a ceasefire could allow Hamas to regroup and regain momentum while further.
Also, today the House of Representatives voted to pursue the impeachment of President Joe Biden over alleged abuses of power in private collaboration with son Hunter Biden. House Speaker Mike Johnson simply stated that due to the overwhelming evidence, “We have no choice” but to pursue impeachment.
This will obviously make for a tumultuous launch into 2024. So glad we are keeping watch together as we enter the new year! Please keep vigilant over all these matters.
