DEAR WATCHMEN,
FIRST—THE GREAT DEBATE continues today as America processes the dramatic presentations by Donald Trump and Kamala Harris. Lets continue to keep watch in prayer for God’s protection and direction for both candidates, and His intervention in our elections.
TODAY IS SEPTEMBER 11 or 9-11. The date marks the solemn anniversary of the greatest existential crisis our nation has faced on our soil, in our lifetime. Islamist jihadists hijacked planes and plunged them into the Twin Towers in New York City and the western wall of the Pentagon in Washington DC. Almost 3,000 Americans died in the attack. Let’s always honor, and never forget the sacrifices of so many on this solemn date, when our nation and world forever changed.
Today is also associated with the disastrous withdrawal of US forces from Afghanistan in 2021, twenty years after the attack. The Biden administration sought to close out America’s longest war by the 9-11 anniversary. But the implementation proved tragically flawed.
On the 23rd anniversary of 9-11 lets seek the Lord—are we now facing down a similar crisis?
Call 911! The Crisis Election
Some would call the 2024 presidential race an “election crisis.” Jolene and I believe it is far more than that. It is instead a “crisis election.” A quick look at what has already transpired affirms what we’re sensing.
On July 13, Republican candidate and former president Donald Trump narrowly escaped a dire assassination attempt. Actually by only a quarter of an inch. Exactly eight days later, President Joe Biden was forced to resign from the Democratic ticket, endorsing Kamala Harris as the new presidential candidate.
What’s next? Factor in the present reality of election interference both from within our nation and externally from other nations and entities. Consider as well as continued terror threats against Washington DC and our nation, including strategic gatherings scheduled for this fall. Then factor in plans we do not know about, possibly already being set in motion. The “election crisis” is indeed proving to be a “crisis election.”
Lets not forget we are approaching the year-anniversary of the October 7 massacre by Hamas, now known as Israel’s “9-11.” It goes without saying that the Fall Feasts this year will be markedly somber and prayerful. Lets pray for an end to Sinwar’s vicious war and a safe return of the remaining hostages.
And make no mistake. All-out war against Hezbollah and Iran remains an immediate possibility. Iran continues to be among a handful of nations already interfering with the US elections. Further, most don’t realize this but documents prove Iran played at least a covert role in the 9-11 attacks.
That said—SHIELDS UP over Washington DC and our nation. Lets keep watch against further terrorist attacks on our soil!
