CHAG PURIM SAMEACH! Happy Purim Holiday. Ok I’m a day early, as Purim does not officially begin until tomorrow evening. You know Jolene and me—we like to start our celebrations early, and keep them going far beyond the actual date. Come to think of it, that’s how we like to do prayer projects too.
We’re nothing if not consistent.
It is customary to give gifts at Purim. And our gift to you today is the posting below, authored by veteran Lamplighter intercessor Lori Perz. It is timely. Chock full of revelation. It will get you in a celebratory mood. And if you really receive what she’s prophesying, your 2019 will forever change! That said, here are Lori’s Purim insights.
Purim 2019: Turnaround and Triumph!
You guys already know how strongly I’ve been sensing for a few months about the weight of Purim 2019 in the heart of God. Today I wanted to share some pieces that the Lord has been highlighting.
America and Israel face some of the same existential threats as Esther did in her day. I’ve had such a strong sense that we are going to see the level of EXPOSURE of the enemy and astonishing TURNAROUND this Purim, similar to what God brought forth in Esther’s day. Just like Haman overplayed his hand against the Jewish people and ended up hanging on his own gallows, I believe that with situations like the Born Alive bill blocked and other EXTREME measures the enemy is pursuing right now, all of this is going to ultimately backfire on him!
As we head into Purim, news broke yesterday that Iranian President Hassan Rhouani is calling for curses on America, Israel and Saudi Arabia right now. But here’s some good news. God is REVERSING THE CURSES. The enemy’s extreme tactics are actually serving GOD’S plan to awaken and bring AWAKENING in this Third Great Awakening! The Haman spirits are hanging on their own gallows. Purim Turnaround at hand!
Defining the Purim Turnaround
Haman, which is basically a manifestation of an Amalekite spirit, has been systematically building a gallows of hatred under the radar (and now more overt) for decades in our nation through many groups. This includes, but is not limited to, those driven by anti-semitism. But, God has seen it all. He is NOW bringing exposure to what the enemy has been doing, even in the halls of Congress. And bold leaders like President Trump are arising to condemn anti-semitism—for the whole world to take notice.
Exposure is coming to those who have followed in Haman’s footsteps. The traps of the enemy, so carefully built, will end up being the gallows that the Haman spirit hangs on! Not only bringing freedom to the nation but also freedom to many who have been taken captive to do the enemy’s will. Many of those saved will become primary leaders in this freedom movement, emptying the prisons of the enemy’s camp. That’s a Purim Turnaround!
Trauma to Triumph! Fighting for Freedom
The phrase “trauma to triumph” came to mind as I took a fresh look at Esther’s storyline. She endured the intense grief and trauma of losing both of her parents and being an orphan, as well as literally being trafficked out of the safety of her home and culture as a young woman to be thrust into a culture completely opposite her beliefs. She was essentially made a part of a harem, made subject to those horrors. But, God sustained her through it all and clearly gave much support, care and love through her cousin Mordecai who adopted her and eventually advised and counseled her as queen.
God prepared her, even through the immensely traumatic events of her life to rise up as a deliverer for her entire nation. Trafficked to triumph. Trauma to triumph!
There is an Esther call on many of us in this hour. God has been preparing us through the difficulties in our storylines and the intensity of our warfare. We’ve being going through a purification and preparation period like Esther did, as the Bride. Delivered to be deliverers. He is turning our trauma into triumph.
Jesus has freed us to go forth and be FREEDOM FIGHTERS in our day. For both individual hearts and for our nation—and for Israel. God has called America to arise boldly as an Esther in this hour to STAND for and STAND with our fellow covenant nation of Israel. We can thank God for a president who is leading the way in this!
Hidden Star Revealed
Esther’s name means both “hidden” and “star”. In her storyline, we can see how she was hidden for a time, but came forth to shine in God’s timing. This is very much like Elijah and John the Baptist, which is the anointing God is bringing forth for His people this hour. As we follow Yeshua wholeheartedly with wisdom and discernment, we will be hidden when and where He calls us to be hidden and SEEN when and where He calls us to be seen–to shine like stars in the universe holding forth the word of LIFE where He calls us to SHINE!
God literally “infiltrated” the Persian government through Esther and her cousin Mordecai to accomplish His plan for an entire nation! Although the enemy has been infiltrating our nation and Israel in multitudes of ways, GOD has been “infiltrating” the enemy’s camp with HIS people to bring forth HIS kingdom purposes, positioning His Esthers and Mordecais on all 7 mountains of culture. Much of this is about the turnaround for the NATION.
God is Mantling Mordecais To Position His People!
Mordecai was just as instrumental as Esther in preserving the nation. The Book of Esther says that he “sat at the king’s gate” multiple times. He was a gatekeeper and a watchman. His intel literally saved the life of the king and that ended up being a key for the nation being preserved. The king “remembered” what Mordecai did for him because God remembered what he did. Mordecai received great honor for this—including the authority of the king’s signet ring, the king’s royal robe and royal horse–the same honor that evil Haman was trying to secure for himself. In the end, Mordecai became “greater and greater” because “He worked for the good of the people and spoke for the welfare and peace of his whole nation” (Esther 10:3).
God is not only mantling us as Esthers in this hour, He is mantling us as Mordecais to sit at the king’s gate and WATCH and PRAY. To sound the alarm and be kingdom whistleblowers. To receive prophetic intel and to know what to do with it and how to pray into it. There have been many prophetic words about a new watchman anointing and call in this hour and Mordecai is a powerful example of this. Lord, anoint us afresh this Purim to WATCH and PRAY and take bold ACTION!
Like Esther—Understand the Times!
Esther possessed a remarkable blend of humility and courage, and this is a much-needed blend for us as kingdom deliverers in this hour of history. She “knew what time it was and what she ought to do” like the sons of Issachar. And she did it! She also listened to the authority in her life, Mordecai, who essentially became her father. A father-daughter team coming together to preserve the nation.
This is also a remarkable picture of what can happen when the original intent of male and female work together in a complementary way. There is a true apostolic coming forth of original intent for male and female. Esther and Mordecai are also a beautiful picture of two generations working together for God’s purposes. The generations need to align in this hour
Esther risked her life to come before the king unannounced and we are in a time of history where the very same level of courage and commitment may be required of us. May we truly be those who “take up their cross” and follow Yeshua, no matter what the cost is to us personally.
Esthers Now Arise!
“All the king’s servants and the people of the king’s provinces know that for any man or woman who comes to the king to the inner court without being summoned, he has but one law, that he is to be put to death, unless the king holds out to him the golden scepter so that he may live. And as for me, I have not been summoned to come to the king for these [last] thirty days” (Esther 4:11, AMP). And, ultimately, the king extended the golden scepter to Esther and SHE AROSE and STOOD before him (Esther 8:4).
In similar fashion, IT’S NOW TIME for the Bride to ARISE (rise up in strength and power) and SHINE (Isaiah 60:1).
Write a New Decree
Not only was the nation preserved through Mordecai and Esther’s bravery and action—but the Part II Turnaround came when they “wrote a new decree” (Esther 8:8). The king could not revoke his original decree that Haman tricked him into, but he charged Esther and Mordecai to WRITE A NEW DECREE to override the old decree. This legally empowered the Jewish people to rise up and FIGHT–to triumph over the enemy and secure their birthright. This is exactly what they did and God gave them extraordinary victory. In fact, the 10 sons of Haman were hanged–securing victory over the “next generation” Hamans.
In whatever way the enemy has written his decrees over Your lives or families or nations today, we can WRITE A NEW DECREE. We are empowered to be “more than conquerors” to rise up and FIGHT and defeat the enemy–and not just for this generation but for the next generation!
What is Your Request?
A resounding theme of the Book of Esther is FAVOR. Esther and Mordecai were greatly favored. They had favor wherever they went to fulfill the destiny God had given them. “And the king said to her, ‘What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you, even to the half of my kingdom'” (Esther 5:3). Our King Jesus is asking us, His Bride, the same question today: “What is your request?” It’s time for us to ASK BIG and to make bold petitions of our king! It’s time for the Bride to arise in the favor of the Lord and to spend the currency of our favor even for our nation’s turnaround.
The most quoted Scripture from the Book of Esther includes the phrase “for such a time as this.” Esther had been positioned and prepared, and in the kairos timing of God, the destiny doors opened for her. She made the choice to step through those doors, surely overcoming great fear to do so.So it is with us today. In Esther 4:14, Mordecai makes this appeal to Esther: “For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” So it is with us today.
IT IS TIME!
This is not a time to keep silent. IT’S TIME for the Bride, mantled with the twin anointing of Esther and Mordecai, to ARISE and take hold of the golden scepter of favor that our King is extending to us. To humbly make our appeals in the Courts of Heaven and boldly walk through our open doors of destiny. Relief and deliverance are here. The Haman spirit is being set up to hang on its own gallows. Astonishing turnaround is at hand. This is not only for the preservation and advancement of our nation, but for the nation of Israel. Our destinies as covenant nations are inextricably linked–by covenant!
Purim truly is a time of JOY and celebration because it’s a time of TRIUMPH over our enemies! ARISE and SHINE in the glory of the Lord because you have been positioned in the kingdom for SUCH A TIME AS THIS! TURNAROUND TRIUMPH— because the HARVEST is HERE.
