DEAR FRIENDS,
TODAY I UNEXPECTEDLY RETURNED TO THE CROSS. That is, to the beautiful monument of a cross and gardens on Saint Simons Island dedicated to forerunning revivalist John Wesley. Jolene and I briefly returned to the region for a strategic getaway. And the Lord spoke to me about His turnaround on a longstanding project that has been log-jammed. We’ll share more hopefully next week.
The sense of God’s presence was awesome and refreshing at the monument. Thank you Jesus! It was like the Lord brought me back into the powerful shared experience during the Revolution gathering. It was during this time I saw God’s apostolic lampstand for this hour spring forth from the ground, the candles catching fire. He is lighting His rescued lampstands!
Prayer for America—Nonstop Engagement
Like many of you, Jolene and I have been engaged in an intense season of persevering prayer over Washington DC and America in this season. A minute to win it nightly!
Only the minute of prayer tends to expand into much more. Covering DC. Covering the apostolic and prophetic movement in the midst of accusations, exposures and purging. Covering the Minneapolis protests. Covering Israel.
Peace Talks with Iran—Maybe a Trap?
And covering President Trump over decisions and negotiations with Iran. Not to mention protection of the President from Iran. This has been my primary focus this past month. As President Trump’s armada was assembled last week, this quest took us to the White House for a very timely tour.
Today the Holy Spirit spoke to me a word of caution. Immediately upon hearing that the venue for the talks has changed, I sensed the Lord warning “Oman is a trap.” I don’t know anything about Oman, or even where negotiations currently stand.
And just because traps may be laid does not mean we shouldn’t go forward. In a way, suggesting our leaders should beware of deception by the Iranian regime is like warning that the laws of gravity are still operating. Just as consistent.
But there’s a reason the Lord spoke this. My immediate response has been to saturate the talks in prayer, asking Holy Spirit to expose and overcome all entrapment, all deception. Lets intercede for President Trump, for lead negotiator Steve Witkoff, and others in the process. PLEASE JOIN ME IN PRAYING!
America in Iran’s Crosshairs for 47 Years
We are very familiar with Iran’s continual onslaught against Israel through proxies Hamas and Hezbollah. But lets remember the “rap sheet” of this radicalized Iranian regime against America spans 47 years—ever since it first came to power. We clearly remain in Iran’s crosshairs, even as they continue to cultivate nuclear capacities and other weapons of mass destruction.
Below is a woefully inadequate partial list of attacks against US interests by Iran. Special thanks to author Jack Carr for pointing towards the “head of the snake” in his stunning nonfiction book “Targeted: Beruit.”
1979-1981 Tehran, Iranian Hostage Crisis—terrorists captured 66 hostages at the US Embassy, holding them captive for more than a year.
1983 Beirut, US Marine Barracks Bombing by Iranian proxy Hezbollah, killing 241 service members.
1984 Beirut, US Embassy Annex Bombing by Iranian proxy Hezbollah, killing 23 people.
1985 Beruit, Kidnapping and killing of CIA Station Chief William F. Buckley by Iranian proxy Hezbollah.
9-11, 2001 Terror attacks on World Trade Center and Pentagon, Iran found to be complicit in both training and approving attacks.
2001-2021 US Global War on Terror, Afghanistan & Iraq, most IEDs utilized by opposing forces were manufactured by Iran.
In addition, throughout this time Iran’s Quds Force, IRGC, Hezbollah etc have engaged in covert operations against American interests. These include assassination plots even against President Trump, cyber warfare, kidnappings, and infiltration into America’s borders forming sleeper cells.
Finally, the rogue nation has continuously challenged US shipping interests and global oil distribution through the Strait of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf.
In the midst of this, revival has broken out in Iran’s underground church. Despite unimaginable persecution, God is moving powerfully. This is God’s justice in action! And we are now moving into the next stage of His deliverance. The Lord of hosts intends to answer both their prayers and ours for freedom. LET MY PEOPLE GO!
36 I will bring upon Elam (Iran) the four winds
And will scatter them to all these winds;
And there will be no nation
To which the outcasts of Elam will not go.
37 So I will shatter Elam before their enemies
And before those who seek their lives…
38 Then I will set My throne in Elam,
And eliminate from there the king and officials,’
Declares the Lord.
39 ‘But it will come about in the last days
That I will restore the fortunes of Elam,’”
