DEAR FRIENDS,
A TIME GATE IS OPENING. Jolene and I make last-minute preparations for the Spirit of America gathering and tour, on the anniversary of Paul Revere’s midnight ride. Our hearts are surging with expectation for awakening and revolution in this hour. Yet again we are moving towards an American Exodus!
It was Jonathan Edwards, pastor and major catalyst of the First Great Awakening, who stated that “Revival is a divine attack upon society.” When the Spirit moves in power and Heaven comes to earth, the status-quo is always upended. Take Egypt for example. A covenant people awakened to their God-given call for freedom. The Lord fought for them. Pharaoh and the gods he served were humiliated. And a revolutionary expression of covenantal deliverance shook every house. God’s freedom movement took hold. LET MY PEOPLE GO!
This Exodus movement was birthed in the wilderness, on the back side of the desert. God appeared to Moses from a burning bush. Note that Heaven’s fire is always a sign of either covenant or covenant restoration. And where the fire is, God’s freedom is soon to follow.
That’s what happened with the First Great Awakening, right? Holy fire. God spoke out of the burning embers and called the 13 colonies into His intended freedom. The result was an American exodus. The birth of a freedom nation.
What is happening right now? Because God is calling us to account. After 250 years, will our flame become dim, our devotion and dedication stagnant? Or will we arise to the occasion? Because one way or another this year we define the Spirit of America for our future.
The good news is the Lord has been visiting a few of His deliverers in the wilderness. As with Moses and Elijah of old, and like Whitefield, Edwards and other awakeners, fire from Heaven is again appearing. As with Paul Revere, lamps are being kindled to light the way. Awakening. Revolution. A midnight ride. And an American Exodus is again at hand.
Join us today. And lets explore prophetically the might of this American Exodus.
