DEAR COVENANT REVOLUTIONARIES,
No wonder God has been speaking about a “midnight cry.” Because defying all odds, President Trump has just honored Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and announced the US embassy will be moving to Jerusalem. It’s a precedent-setting day of covenant alignment.
Friends, I cannot imagine a more important time to gather together and pray in our nation’s Capitol than this Hanukkah at Revolution. It is imperative to set the course prophetically for the future. This is one of the final gatherings of the “ekklesia” before decisions of monumental importance are made regarding Israel and the Mideast especially.
No wonder God has been speaking about a midnight hour, a midnight watch, and a midnight cry!
That said, President Trump has exercised courageous leadership in realigning our nation with this plumbline. It was and is the right thing to do. Very simply, both from a biblical perspective and from the basic diplomatic protocol of honoring Israeli sovereignty, Jerusalem is already the capital of Israel. It has been for 50 years, since Jerusalem was restored under Israeli sovereignty. It’s just that most other nations have steadfastly resisted embracing this state of existence.
And it’s important to note that the State of Israel is fully behind the decision.
That said, it is imperative to pray for both Israel and the Palestinians. Tensions are already high, and threats of violence are mounting. We also need to pray for the nations of the Mideast as this decision may jeopardize the fragile alignment that has been forged between Israel and Sunni nations.
It’s important to note that the Trump Administration has also emphasized its commitment to a two-state solution for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. The boundaries of both Israel and Jerusalem are apparently still being negotiated between Israel and the Palestinians. We need to pray over this aspect of the Mideast peace process especially.
It is imperative that America yield to Israel’s sovereignty in decisions regarding the land. Of course, our primary plumbline must remain God’s heart and word. I simply want to remind us all of the promise given in Amos 9:15. “I will also plant them on their land, and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,” says the Lord your God.”
He has planted His covenant people again in the land. Lets pray that they not be rooted out.
So looking forward to tonight’s call. Covenant blessings to each of you.
