DEAR WHITE HOUSE WATCHMEN,
As we move into Thanksgiving week, we want to compel you to engage with the Lord in the manner of Pilgrims and sojourners and saints gone before, devoting yourselves to three weeks of focused encounter with the Lord. The time from 11-22 to 12-12 brings us from Thanksgiving to Hanukkah, culminating with Revolution 2020. And in this turnaround window the destiny of America will largely be sealed.

Let My Burning Bring a Turning
“LET MY BURNING BRING A TURNING…” Last week during worship, Redonnia Jackson brought a prophetic song that opened our hearts to Jesus’ highest call. You can see Jesus now, standing in the midst of the lampstands, compelling us to fully return to the fire of our first-love devotion even as we contend for the turning of the nation.

And the word of the Lord is that our genuine burning will bring the turning.

With this song came a confirmation of His great work in our land, conveyed two weeks beforehand in a celestial spectacle in Plymouth MA.  A fireball appeared in the skies across the northeast at precisely 7:22pm. It’s no coincidence that we were preparing for the 400th anniversary of the Mayflower Compact at the time, and more importantly the covenant renewal accompanying this historic date.

With this fire in the sky at 7:22 pm on November 8 I felt the Daniel 7:22 “Turnaround Verdict” for this hour had been released from Heaven’s Court. An earthquake earlier in the day also accompanied this work. What the national turnaround looks like fully, I don’t know. I just know the covenant renewal is real. And the turning is real. Because just as God confirmed His covenant with Gideon, with Elijah, with the disciples in the upper room, He literally sent fire from Heaven on the night of new beginnings to confirm His covenant with us.

Turning from the Point of No Return
THANKSGIVING 2020 should be more celebratory. This week seems much more akin to the Pilgrims’ first landing than the anniversary of their first year in the new world, celebrated with the feast that has now become an American tradition.

Blown off course by a storm, the Pilgrims soon discovered the colliding waves off the eastern coast of Cape Cod were about to overwhelm their small ship. To continue on their trajectory would have meant certain death. They literally turned around literally from the point of no return.

That’s the magnitude of the decision that America, still asleep in her relative complacency, currently faces. And as the turnaround window opens, we must act. And I’m by no means talking just an election turnaround. We need to encounter holy fire from the Lord that illuminates our darkness and clarifies the way forward.

Not a coincidence that Georgia seems to now be precipice where we turn from this point of no return. Georgia now is like Gettysburg in the days of Lincoln. If Georgia does not hold the line on constitutional governance, the Union as we know it will falter perhaps beyond repair. I am only speaking not out of presumption, but out of clear revelation the Lord has given us over many years directly concerning this moment of decision.

The Prevailing Scroll
The turnaround of the Mayflower brought the Pilgrims to safe harbor, and eventually led to the settling of their covenantal community on Cape Cod from which America was founded. They wrote and signed the Mayflower Compact “in the presence of God and one another,” committing the land and government “to the glory of God and the advancement of the Christian faith.”

Against all odds America was birthed from this humble covenant with God—a covenant made by sacrifice, lived out by the Pilgrims. By God’s grace this covenant has been upheld and perpetuated from generation to generation, ensuring the freedoms they lived and died to gain for us would still define our land.

AS WITH THE PILGRIMS, the shelter of God’s shalom is our only true option. On this 400th anniversary, it is time for the scrolls of covenant to once again prevail. Our peace, prosperity and freedom are secured by it. Please join with us these 21 days as we seek the face of God, catch holy fire, and see the turnaround He desires for our time. Lets extend our faith beyond this great point of no return—to the shelter of His shalom. No King but Jesus!
