“There will be signs in sun and MOON and stars, and on the earth dismay among nations, in perplexity at the ROARING OF THE SEA AND THE WAVES, men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken” (Luke 21-25-6).
THIS EVENING THE BLOOD MOON SHINES, ushering in the Feast of Tabernacles. It will appear much larger than life due to a very rare blood moon/supermoon convergence.
Prophets and pundits have all capitalized on its appearing, lighting up social networks with endless debates. Platitudes and peril. Rapture, no rapture. Shemitah shaking, Jubilee prosperity. Global warming, global cooling. Obama Christian, Obama Muslim, Obama four more years.
Elites in control, Islam in control. Pope in control, Putin out of control. War and peace.
Signs of the Times
What should we believe? Hard to know. The lack of a unified message even among high level prophets is itself unsettling. Because the primary passage on the “blood moon,” Joel 2, begins with a prophetic call to blow the trumpet in Zion—to warn the people with a corporate resonance of clarity about what is to come. And if the trumpet makes an unsure sound…
In a moment, I’m going to share a few prophetic insights I believe the Spirit of God has highlighted to Jolene and me. But first, lets go to the Source of all truth. What does the Bible say about the blood moon? From Joel 2:28-32:
It will come about after this, that I will pour out My Spirit on all mankind; and your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions. Even on the male and female servants I will pour out My Spirit in those days.
I will display wonders in the sky and on the earth, blood, fire and columns of smoke. The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and awesome day of the Lord comes.
And it will come about that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be delivered; for on Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as the Lord has said, even among the survivors whom the Lord calls.
Blood Moons—What Time is It?
Note that a solar eclipse and blood moon are both listed as marking the beginning of the “great and awesome day of the Lord.” Further, these signs in the sky come in conjunction with the outpouring of Holy Spirit! If nothing else, I believe these four blood moons represent a new demarcation of Holy Spirit’s work in the end-times.
A friend of ours recently had a dream which I believe conveys this. Basically the Lord told him that “your time has come to an end—and the end is now beginning!” This really resonates with me.
But what is this work? Revival and the advancement of the genuine Christian faith. Signs, wonders, miracles. Prophetic clarity and demonstrations of covenant authority even to nations. In this arena we are in an immature stage right now. But as the years progress, I believe the body of Christ will mature in conveying Heaven’s message to the extent the trumpet will sound with both clarity and much-deserved credibility.
Conflict of Thrones
But a controversial expression of God’s work in these days, demarcated specifically by the blood moons, is what I feel to call a “Conflict of Thrones.” Nations are rising against nations, and more importantly, kingdoms against kingdoms. It pays to remember Mary’s prophecy about Jesus Christ while He was still in her womb. “He brings down rulers from their thrones!”
We know Jesus as the Child of glad tidings. We know Him as the Suffering Servant, crucified and raised from the dead to redeem all who call on His Name. But we have barely begun to see the fulfillment of this revolutionary prophecy from a pregnant teenager in Israel so many years ago. As in the days of Exodus—a conflict of thrones!
This is so evident right now in our nation. Not a coincidence that John Boehner resigned just before Tabernacles, sending the Republican party into a “conflict of thrones” in Congress even while contending for the next presidency. I’m telling you, the year 2016 will be defined as a Conflict of Thrones.

If you don’t believe me, look to Israel as a signpost. Not a coincidence that Temple Mount violence is increasing. Tabernacles is the Feast where all Israel was commanded to gather and ascend this very mountain to worship God on His Throne. Malachi prophesies a coming hour where every nation will be commanded to do the same.
Not a coincidence that, of the four blood moons over these two years, today’s “blood super-moon” is the only one visible in Jerusalem and Israel.
9-11 and the Midnight Waves
Remember our warnings this year about a “midnight wave” crashing in on Washington DC. Does this wave represent a “Conflict of Thrones?”
We joined Gary Beaton in warning about a Third Infitada that could impact Israel and America. And as of 9-11, Temple Mount violence increased dramatically.
We felt the “wave” of violence, possibly even a Third Infitada, was directly related to the Iranian nuclear deal. We warned that Iran, especially with greater financially capacities, is already ramping up efforts to empower Palestinians for uprising. Iran’s unabashed goal is to overtake the thrones of God’s covenant land.
The birth pangs of this are being played out now before our eyes. Conflict of thrones.
At the very same time, from the Bering Sea to the Mideast, China and Russia are asserting themselves in a way not seen since the Cold War. More on this soon.
Also seemingly triggered around 9-11, all of the sudden Europe and America are faced with a mass migration from the Mideast. Millions of Syrians and Iraqis are fleeing for their lives.
One journalist actually called this migration a “tsunami wave.” And that’s fitting. Because through this migration, a religious and cultural “conflict of thrones” will come to every small village and great city in western civilization.
Midnight waves. Conflict of Thrones.
Heaven at Your Gates
Let me close with this. In contending for the thrones, only Love legitimately wins. Remember the promise of Joel 2 is a continual outpouring of the Spirit. Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord! And the revolution God is waging is meant to bring multitudes out of captivity and into a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Heaven is at your gates! You have been prepared and equipped over decades for this very moment.
I can promise you from experience—the only way to overcome in this hour is to welcome Heaven into your gates personally, every day. Give yourself first to intimacy and devotion to the Lord. Spend time EVERY DAY worshiping, praying, gleaning from His word. Receive communion. Allow Jesus Christ, God with us, to tabernacle with you!
That’s the true message and meaning of Tabernacles. Let Him be your shelter from the storm. Amen!
