Prayer Call Wednesday! 9pm EST. Conference call number: 641-715-3605 access code 552-690. Use *6 to mute/unmute. Invite your friends to join us.
Today is a pivotal day. Sixty-nine years ago Israel’s independence was declared, prompting the surrounding nations to wage war against her. They should have easily won. But miraculously, they didn’t. And Israel as a nation was rebirthed into the world!
I don’t believe it’s a coincidence that the Elijah List is publishing today our posting on the next 100 days. Thank you Steve Shultz and the Elijah List team! As most of you know, the Lord gave me a dream where Washington DC and Israel’s Jezreel valley from Har Megiddo was superimposed on Washington DC. In the dream, we were charged to watch and pray these 100 days and focus on possessing the land.

As we honor the unprecedented rebirth of Israel—God’s covenant land—the Lord is gracing us all to possess our land of promise. This is really important for each of you. As we inquired in the article, “What specific promises is the Lord making alive for you in this season? Because great opportunities and anointing are truly just ahead for you. Shift your mindset. Take time now to receive God’s direction. And then lets take the land!”
I want to also say I believe Israel’s destiny and America’s destiny are inextricably linked, just as the dream shares.
Both nations have been founded by covenant with the God of Israel. God cut covenant with Himself for the land and people Israel, with Abraham as both a witness and partner. A smoking firepot and burning lamp appeared before this Father of nations, confirming eternally this unbreakable covenant.
But the same God, the God of Israel, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, motivated the Pilgrims to cross over the Atlantic and establish our land and government by covenant with Him. William Bradford, Governor of the Pilgrims, invoked the imagery of a burning lamp when he described their desire for their work. And he gave glory to the Name of the God of Israel!
“Thus out of small beginnings greater things have been produced by His hand that made all things of nothing, and gives being to all things that are; and, as one small candle may light a thousand, so the light here kindled hath shone unto many, yea in some sort to our whole nation. Let the glorious name of Jehovah have all the praise.”
Jolene and I were summoned by God just a decade ago to enter into full-time ministry, as burning lamps bearing witness to His promise to these two covenant nations. From the beginning, our call was intertwined with our shared destinies.
In 2006, I was working for the Department of Homeland Security when Bob Jones prophesied to Jolene and me. “the Lord says to be very focused about where you are to be on June 6, 2007. Because on June 6, 2007 the Lord has a gift for His Bride. The date marks the 40th anniversary of the reunification of Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, after the 6 day war. And on that date, God is going to bring His bride out of the wilderness and into the Spirit!”
From further dialogue with Bob it was clear Jolene and I were being called into full-time ministry. We planned and budgeted and saved for a year. And on June 6, 2007, the date Bob declared that God would shift His Bride from the wilderness to the Spirit, we stepped into our calling. Also marking Lamplighter first time of ministry in Washington State! From Washington to Washington to Jerusalem…
It’s interesting that this June 6 this year marks not only our 10th anniversary, but more importantly Israel’s 50th anniversary of the restoration of Jerusalem as its capital city!
And we are well on our way out of the wilderness. Not a coincidence that Purim marked the verdict from Heaven’s Court that Ichabod has been erased, with the restoration of God’s glory replacing this discipline. Judgement has once again been rendered in favor of the saints (Daniel 7:22). It is time for the saints to possess the Kingdom.
And as of Passover, we have all been summoned by God to the heights, to look over the land and begin to more fully possess our covenant promises. Covenant blessings to each of you. And Happy Birthday Israel!
Isaiah 66:8-9—“‘Who has heard such a thing? Who has seen such things? Can a land be born in one day? Can a nation be brought forth all at once? As soon as Zion travailed, she also brought forth her sons. Shall I bring to the point of birth and not give delivery?’ says the Lord. ‘Or shall I who gives delivery shut the womb?’ says your God.”
Jeremiah 16:14-15—“‘Therefore behold, days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when it will no longer be said, “As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel out of the land of Egypt,” but, “As the Lord lives, who brought up the sons of Israel from the land of the north and from all the countries where He had banished them.” For I will restore them to their own land which I gave to their fathers.’”
Jeremiah 31:3-9—“The Lord appeared to him from afar, saying, ‘I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have drawn you with lovingkindness. Again I will build you and you will be rebuilt, O virgin of Israel! Again you will take up your tambourines, and go forth to the dances of the merrymakers. Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria; the planters will plant and will enjoy them. For there will be a day when watchmen on the hills of Ephraim call out, “Arise, and let us go up to Zion, to the Lord our God.” . . . Behold, I am bringing them from the north country, and I will gather them from the remote parts of the earth, among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and she who is in labor with child, together; a great company, they will return here. With weeping they will come, and by supplication I will lead them; I will make them walk by streams of waters, on a straight path in which they will not stumble; for I am a father to Israel.’”
Amos 9:11-15—“‘In that day I will raise up the fallen booth of David, and wall up its breaches; I will also raise up its ruins and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom and all the nations who are called by My name,’ declares the Lord who does this. ‘Behold, days are coming,’ declares the Lord, ‘when the plowman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows seed; when the mountains will drip sweet wine and all the hills will be dissolved. Also I will restore the captivity of My people Israel, and they will rebuild the ruined cities and live in them; they will also plant vineyards and drink their wine, and make gardens and eat their fruit. I will also plant them on their land, and they will not again be rooted out from their land which I have given them,’ says the Lord your God.” (scriptures compiled by Joel Rosenberg).
