GREETINGS FRIENDS,
FIRST—CALL 911! RAMADAN BEGAN YESTERDAY with significant clashes erupting near the Al Aqsa Mosque. Hamas decided to delay any hostage deal, and to instead promote jihad against all Israel and the western world. 

Meanwhile, President Biden literally spoke that PM Netanyahu is facing a “come to Jesus moment” to halt operations against Hamas in Rafah. Maybe. But Biden may be facing a “come to Jesus moment” himself given recent prophetic warnings of Gaza-style attacks against the United States. High numbers of terrorists capable of these attacks have allegedly crossed our borders. The threat is obvious. 

Here’s an idea. For real. Lets pray for a “come to Yeshua moment” for Biden and Netanyahu by the Spirit of God alone. And lets keep Israel and America in prayer with daily vigilance and situational awareness through Ramadan. THE WATCH OF THE BREAKER IS ACTIVATED.

CALL 911—‘X OUT’ IHOPKC?
Intercessory mobilization similar to Mike Bickle’s million-strong Isaiah 62 fast would be entirely appropriate right about now. But the prayer movement that spearheaded this global initiative remains in grief after more leadership indiscretions recently came to light. 

Call 911. All involved are in our prayers through this heart-wrenching time. At the end of today’s post I’ll share my personal sense of what the Lord is saying regarding IHOPKC—and God’s move to restore the fallen Tabernacle of David. Lets begin with a little perspective.

CALL 911—RETRO
Three weeks before the Towers fell, the Pentagon’s western wall exploded, and a naive America awakened to jihadist extremism on our soil, a trumpet warning resounded across the Hudson River. Dutch Sheets led a prayer journey through the northeast, breaking through invisible layers of late-August humidity as our bus traversed what was then the Tappan Zee Bridge. 

As a younger prophetic leader out of IHOPKC, my prayer room obsession was for awakening and revival in the northeast. Dutch was my pastor before migrating to Kansas City. He would affirm that I took every opportunity to badger him incessantly about focusing on the covenant roots of our nation in the northeast. In summer 2001, my prayers suddenly began to be answered. First with the Kettle Tour, followed by the Call Boston. 

In late August 2001, Will Ford and I caught a final glimpse of the Twin Towers before weaponized passenger jets took them down. We were processing a dream that Dutch’s wife Ceci received that morning. The theme: Call 911. In the dream, Ceci looked down and discovered a baby bump. Then suddenly she came to full term, and was about to give birth. Nobody was around to help her. “Call 911! Call 911!” She began to cry. “The experts are needed. There’s nobody to help me birth this baby!” 

Talk about situational awareness. As we crossed the Hudson River, we thought we knew what the dream meant. Psalm 91 protection through dwelling in the secret place of the most high. The Amos 9:11 restoration of the Tabernacle of David. All of which was true. 

But the overarching need to “Call 911” to counter a pending emergency somehow eluded us. We failed to realize that the Spirit of God was conveying real-time revelation regarding an immediate crisis that would forever change our nation and world.

Call 911. Amidst the rubble and ruin, Heaven’s trumpet sounded again. Nationally and globally it was time to gain protection and breakthrough promised through Amos 9:11 and Psalm 91. It was time to cultivate 24-7 worship and prayer. Enthroning the Redeemer of Israel, and praying for Israel, America and the nations of the earth. 

AMOS 9:11—“IN THAT DAY I WILL RESTORE!”
Lets be clear. To me the global call to the body of Christ for the Amos 9:11 restoration of the Tabernacle of David did not begin when IHOPKC launched in 1999. Instead this trumpet call resounded on 9-11, 2001. I believe this became the date when the Lord Himself committed to manifest this end-time restoration. In real-time! 

Note that Amos 9:11 actually prophesies that the restoration process for the Tabernacle of David would begin ON A SPECIFIC DATE. And on 9-11-01, through great travail, this promised baby was born into this fallen world. 

“ON THAT DAY I will raise up the tabernacle of David, which has fallen down, and repair its breaches; I will raise up its ruins, and rebuild it as in the days of old; that they may possess the remnant of Edom, And all the nations who are called by My name,” says the LORD who does this thing” (Amos 9:11-12).

CALL 911—COVENANT RESTORATION & REPAIR
History bears witness that the Lord used IHOPKC as a forerunner of His global Amos 9:11 restoration. Yet astonishingly, at a time when God’s covenant covering through 24-7 worship is most needed, this very community has been shaken. Many say it is beyond repair. Others say it was never viable in the first place.

I say lets wait and see. In Psalm 24 year the door is open to enter the next phase of God’s restoration of the Tabernacle of David. A phase cohesively marked by covenant restoration and repair. 

As with 9-11 you will soon see even events of a national and global magnitude pushing us all into this reality. Once again, the intersection of end-times with real-time. 

Note that David did not begin his quest for 24-7 worship with 24-7 worship. Instead he focused on REPAIRING HIS NATION’S COVENANT WITH GOD. He rescued the Ark of the Covenant after it had been sent into captivity from Shiloh. When he restored the Ark, he placed it in his capital city of Jerusalem instead of at Shiloh. He then built his 24-7 worship movement AROUND COVENANT RESTORATION. 

Sadly, if we can be honest about IHOPKC, significant breaches of covenant seemed to have marked the movement from its very foundation. Instead of repairing these breaches, we are instead discovering that sexual sin and abuse continued. Idolatry was not confronted. These are the very sins that caused the original Tabernacle movement to to fall.

So lets be clear. The next phase of the restoration of the Tabernacle of David must be marked by repentance, covenant realignment, restoration and repair—between God and each other. This purging has already begun to occur. And through this restoration, enthroning the God of Israel will in time become a reality. From an ‘X-out’ to a bridal canopy. 

SHOULD IHOPKC CONTINUE?
Recently the Lord conveyed to both Jolene and me that He desires the restoration process to continue at IHOPKC. God is clearly purifying. THE GOOD NEW IS THAT, for the first time in 24 years, sins that restrained both divine presence and answered prayers have been exposed. 

This itself affords an incredible opportunity. I am inspired by the recent body-wide embrace of genuine teshuvah. How leadership continues to align determines whether this Amos 9:11 movement continues to either fall, or to rise again. 

To an extent the same applies to us. Remember the prophetic warning. This year the enemy is seeking to ‘X out’ God’s move both in KC and our nation. Many other movements have also been targeted. The present warfare clearly bears this out. 

The good news is that God clearly desires to restore His covenant covering. I say lets make this a reality. Lets engage together. NO KING BUT JESUS!
