Burning-Lamp-Wall

Yom Kippur begins TONIGHT at sundown! You are God’s royalty, His priests, His army. Please bring the sacrificial Lamb before His Throne for family and region, for your nation, for Israel and the nations.

Thank you for your generosity as we take time off the road to focus on Davids Tent/ DC prayer. As you know, the hour is so critical. To donate to Lamplighter, please click here.

The times all point to Yom Kippur 2014. Personally I am approaching the Throne this pivotal date with a renewed sense of humility and awe. Our God is unyielding majesty, far above our greatest capacities to perceive. Yet His compassion for each of us and for nations is relentless, far above our greatest capacities to perceive!

Jews consider Yom Kippur the holiest day of the year. Sundown marks the beginning of this Day of Atonement, where the High Priests goes behind the veil to present the sacrifice for absolution of personal and corporate sin.

Yom Kippur marks the culmination of the 10 Days of Awe. Remember tradition holds that on Rosh Hashanah, the Head of the Year, God renders His verdict for each human based on the deeds of the past, righteous and unrighteous. During the Days of Awe, the Court of Heaven is open for a more favorable verdict to be obtained before the scrolls of His verdict are sealed on Yom Kippur.

Prayer and repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation in personal relationships, and giving firstfruits, offerings, and alms are all pursued in this quest. Above all else, we want our names to be sealed in the Lamb’s Book of Life!

We therefore highly recommend you present your case before the Throne personally, and even for Israel, America and the nations. Remember how James Goll’s message, shared yesterday, conveyed his perception over many years that Yom Kippur 2014 would mark a clear demarcation of history, especially in the Mideast.

Below are key points to harness as we approach this holy day.

He Judges and Makes War—Clearly we have been in a season of receiving God’s verdicts of justice. Remember 7-22, where the Lord literally rendered judgment in favor of the saints. We will continue to stand before His Court, but this year marks a shift where the armies of heaven and earth are sent to enforce His verdicts. “And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse, and He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and makes war” (Rev. 19:11).

You Are Warrior Priests— The Kingdom mandate above is as applicable in your spheres of authority as it is on any other battlefield—probably more. As we entered into Rosh Hashanah this year, the Lord showed how He was distributing His “Warrior Mantle” (see posting). Present yourself before God’s Throne as a Warrior Priest—as a lawyer in His Court as well as a soldier in His Army! And remember that as a soldier, you have given your life entirely to Christ. Seek Him to align your life accordingly, so that you may truly be a catalyst of His justice and victory.

Two suggestions. First, make sure your cause is just. Second, make sure you have already legitimately received God’s courtroom verdict before proceeding to the battlefield. Otherwise you may not find heaven’s army backing your engagement!

Forsake Pride & Presumption—The points above are all about humility. This Yom Kippur, I strongly encourage you to focus on repentance of pride and presumption. Allow the kindness of God to convict you in a new way!

Prepare Your Sacrifice—Jesus, our slain Lamb and risen Lion, is the only sacrifice acceptable for us to present for our atonement. Spend much time this Yom Kippur at His Table, receiving personally and corporately the communion of His justice.

Remember that the Table of the Lord is highest court in the Kingdom. Prepare your table before Him with great care. Set a place for you and for Him. In Him prepare your case, seeking a better verdict for you, your family and friends, your spheres of authority, even nations.

What is the one justice issue you want settled in your life this year? Ask.

Present Your Sacrifice—Plead the body and blood of Christ for the remission of sins—personal and corporate. Plead the body and blood over the gates of your life, and the gates of your region. Seek God earnestly for mercy for Israel, America, and the nations.

In Christ, I suggest you also re-present your offerings of love from throughout the year to Him. Ask the Lord to settle your accounts, and forgive all unremembered and/or unfulfilled vows you have made. Clemency in His court! Above all, do not be in a hurry! Embrace the communion of communion.

I suggest that tonight you begin a nightly encounter with your King, receiving the Table of the Lord for the next 21 days.

Enter Behind the Veil—and be where you are, seated with Christ in heavenly places. Remember it’s not by might nor by power, but by His Spirit. Pray Eph. 1:17. Receive His prophetic encounters!

Receive your Verdict—and set a new course for your year according to Christ’s directive to you. Even now, His awesome scrolls are being prepared for release!
