Pope Francis broke open a brilliant, blue sky day today with a prophetic admonition on the White House lawn. He gently compelled America’s leaders to “guide the nation’s political future in fidelity to its founding principles.” He then inferred that the two cornerstones of these principles—the sanctity of the family and religious liberty—are most vulnerable in this “critical moment in the history of our civilization.”
Yes, Pope Francis emphasized environmental concerns. So did God in His first discourse with Adam and Eve, giving humanity’s mom and dad a clarion commission to “tend the garden and keep it.” Watch over and protect!
But the Pope soon switched from tending the environment to tending the garden of our Nation. “With countless other people of good will, they are likewise concerned that efforts to build a just and wisely ordered society respect their deepest concerns and their right to religious liberty,” admonished the Pope. “That freedom remains one of America’s most precious possessions. And, as my brothers, the United States Bishops, have reminded us, all are called to be vigilant, precisely as good citizens, to preserve and defend that freedom from everything that would threaten or compromise it.”
Listen to the honor and appreciation for American heritage conveyed by these words. Listen to his gentle defiance in the shadow of leaders whose actions have actually imperiled our right to freedom of religion.
Above all else, listen to the warning he gave this Yom Kippur. Freedom of religion is one of America’s most precious possessions. We must be vigilant to preserve and defend that freedom from EVERYTHING that would threaten or compromise it.
Whatever challenges, whatever hidden agendas real or perceived during the Pope’s visit to Washington DC, one thing is clear to me. America just received a strong prophetic warning this Yom Kippur. Our founding principles, especially freedom of religion, are in jeopardy. It’s time to stand, protect and defend our covenantal heritage FROM EVERYTHING THAT WOULD THREATEN. It’s time to stake our claim.

All morning, I’ve been decreeing and singing Psalm 2 that in every meeting of the “kings of the earth” to BOW down and KISS the SON…….especially during these Holy Days and this year of the vav, I hear the hammer hitting those pegs!!!

All morning, I’ve been seeing Jesus literally sitting on His throne over Jerusalem, much much higher than the temple mount…the incense rising from our worship and prayers around the earth….mingling with the incense rising from those in The Land…creating a literal canopy over Jerusalem…leading me to decree and sing Psalm 2. The most beautiful sight!!!

There’s something definitely wrong out there, Pope Francis and Barack Obama met each other right on the Jewish most holiest day, Yom Kippur on American soil? Emphasis mine. That’s all for now.
The Lord came to me a few weeks ago, and with an urgency in his voice (I did not see him only heard him) “Put in a stake in the ground and claim the LAND!”
Guess I need to make some stakes?
