Dear Covenant Keepers,
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. I was in a Wal-Mart parking lot in Woodland Park, Colorado, high up in the Rocky Mountains, when the text came. Obama and the UN Security Council had resurrected the resolution that Israeli settlements in Judea and Samaria were illegal.
My daughter’s mom lives in Colorado Springs, and we were preparing to celebrate Christmas with their family. Which mandated a last-minute run to purchase gift bags.
Ironically, I had just texted a few leaders and intercessors for Revolution 2016 to congratulate them on the breakthrough that came a day previously. President-elect Donald Trump intervened on behalf of Israel, proposing fresh negotiations after his term begins. And Egypt suddenly rescinded its proposal for this resolution to go through. We were literally celebrating when the news of Obama’s actions came through.
UN Resolution by Christmas—from Posting Dec. 5
You might remember that just before Revolution we issued a somber prophetic warning that Obama was going to try to reprimand Netanyahu and Israel by Christmas. On December 5 I wrote:
Prophetically, I sense a warning that the efforts to divide Israel could even be formalized by Christmas. Interestingly, Christmas this year marks a historic convergence with the first day of Hanukkah. I’ll share more on this in an upcoming posting. But it was the horrific desecration of God’s Temple on December 25, 167 BC which sparked the immediate uprising against the occupiers of Israel by the Maccabees. Hanukkah commemorates their victory. And it marks the reconsecration of the Temple to the Lord by relighting the menorah after it had been snuffed out.
Note that the date we celebrate Christmas is the very day the enemy sought to overtake God’s Temple—His covenant—His Throne. I sense these are our supernatural enemy’s intentions in this hour as well. But God brought a turnaround then, and He can bring a turnaround now…
Intel: Obama Drove the Resolution
Two days before the historic convergence of Hanukkah and Christmas, Obama made his move. After the resolution was withdrawn by the very nation sponsoring it!
I cite Obama as the driving force because Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Israel’s US Ambassador Ron Dermer are both citing clear intelligence of this. According to a Times of Israel report, Ambassador Dermer “will present President-elect Donald Trump with “evidence” that the Obama administration orchestrated an anti-settlement resolution at the United Nations Security Council on Friday.”
According to Amb. Dermer, “It’s an old story that the United Nations gangs up against Israel. What is new is that the United States did not stand up and oppose that gang-up. And what is outrageous is that the United States was actually behind that gang-up.”
All this said, the UN resolution is not as bad as it could have been. And Trump’s intervention ahead of time clearly demonstrated to the world his intentions to stand for Israel as a sovereign nation, not ruled by either the UN or the US. “As to the UN,” Trump tweeted after the anti-Israel vote, “things will be different after Jan. 20.”
A Revolution that Trumps the Resolution
What should we do now? This Hanukkah, lets gain the same firm resolve as the Maccabees. And lets realize that the same antichrist spirit seeking to marginalize our covenantal foundations in America is also seeking to overtake God’s covenant land of Israel.
It’s a global movement. No wait, wrong words. A globalist movement. Just as Christmas and Hanukkah converge.
Hanukkah continues through the new year. And this new move of God, this global spiritual revolution by God’s Spirit, has really just begun. The Lord of hosts will trump the enemy, and turn what Satan meant for evil to His good.
So light your lamps, friends, and lets engage with God to see His revolutionary turnaround prevail. Covenant blessings to each of you.
