In 2013, the 40th anniversary of Roe v Wade was met with absolute breakthrough from God’s Throne as 22 states passed 70 laws restricting abortions, according to news sources today. Further, as we reported on December 31, a record 85 surgical abortion clinics closed!
Last year at this time, we began our sojourn into 2013 with a clear focus on God’s promise of a “New Birth of Freedom.” God had promised us a breakthrough on abortion—that 2013 will be known as a “great year to be born, and a great year to be born again.” But the scope of His breakthrough has proven to be beyond our wildest dreams!
Based on a discussion with Jason Hershey, we shared the haunting correlation between the Roe v Wade ruling on 1-22-1973 and Exodus 1:22, where Pharaoh mandated all the firstborn Jewish males be aborted by drowning them in the Nile River. We perceived how the scourge of Egyptian abortion tied to idolatry had become twined into the legacy of abortion in America. And our covenant seed was at stake.

Idolatry And Abortion
Decades of prayer had already addressed this bitter injustice. But a conversation with Matt Lockett, national director of Bound4Life, stirred me to realize just how significant the twining of abortion with idolatry really was. “Jon,” he implored, “When you think of an altar to Baal, you think of a Masonic Lodge. I think of an abortion clinic!”
This provoked me. In the midst of these decades of prayer regarding abortion, had the core idolatry of Baal worship been addressed? Had this issue been brought before Heaven’s court, as with the scourge of idolatry tied to Freemasonry?
Breakthrough Prayer! Life Decree
So from the outset of 2013, we shared our strong impression that the Lord was holding court and rendering judgment on abortion over the 40th anniversary. We started off the year in Washington DC praying with Matt Lockett and many from the JHOP-DC staff on a 21 day night watch until January 22. Jason Hershey picked up from there, with 43 day vigil at the Washington House of Prayer.
And the Lamplighter family fasted and prayed, asking God together to render judgment regarding abortion. On January 22, the Lord rendered judgment, bringing a very clear verdict regarding abortion in America. You can read the “Life Decree” in full in today’s other posting, but the essence was that this covenant with death was annulled according to Isaiah 28. And the corruption that was covered over due to this covenant with death was going to be exposed.
From January 22 through Passover, HAPN leaders took this “Life Decree” and the “Divorce Decree from Baal” to every known abortion clinic in each state of the nation. Just as the Lord mandated in Exodus that each family apply the body and blood of the lamb to their household as an expression of His verdict, so He mandated that we pray onsite and announce His verdict at each clinic.
As you can imagine, this was an absolutely sacrificial effort, especially for large states like California, Texas and New York. But the HAPN leaders remained resolved to stand with the Lord for national breakthrough. In DC, we culminated this project with 50 hours of 24/7 prayer at the Simmons House across from the Supreme Court. JHOP, led by Matt Lockett, and WHOP, led by Jason Hershey, converged to keep the fire burning for these 50 hours.
God’s Extraordinary Work
And then miracles began to happen. The heart of the nation broke at the exposure of unrelenting atrocities by Kermit Gosnell and his late term abortionist in inner city Philadelphia. His trial brought abortion itself into the courts of American conscience.
Gosnell would regularly cause moms to go into labor, and kill their babies after they were born. He deemed this procedure “safer” than killing them in their mothers’ womb. When the FBI raided his clinic searching for illicit drugs, they instead found aborted fetuses in jars in a refrigerator. Body parts of aborted babies were also collected in jars, with some on display. Further investigation into practices also revealed that surgical instruments were not even sterilized between abortions, with mothers contracting venereal diseases from the instruments used other moms.
The trial that ensued showed how the state refused to investigate claims of these horrors over decades because the subject of abortion was “too politically sensitive.” This alone—the absolute negligence of states in providing accountability and oversight to these clinics—dramatically catalyzed the nationwide trend with state legislative action.
As reported above, a total of 22 states established 70 new laws restricting abortion, protecting both babies and moms, and mandating greater standards and oversight of existing clinics. Partly due to the increased expense of adhering to these standards, 85 clinics SHUT THEIR DOORS!
As Matt Lockett observed, 2013 brought the greatest breakthroughs regarding abortion seen since Roe V Wade was enacted.
I do want to clarify that the Lord brought tremendous answers to the cries of multitudes from virtually every stream of Christianity. It is also absolutely vital to point out that the breakthroughs came immediately in conjunction with dealing covenantally with Baal worship and idolatry. For these results to be replicated and perpetuated, this aspect must to be dealt with as part of the very core of future prayer strategies.
Exposure of Corruption
Let me briefly touch on further results. God decreed that corruption be exposed as part of the rendering of His judgment regarding abortion. From Passover on, Washington DC and the nation saw some of the greatest exposures of corruption in history. Here’s a brief list:
Benghazi.
The Department of Justice demanding the sources and contacts of the Associated Press.
The IRS targeting of conservative groups and evangelical ministries, including Billy Graham.
Edward Snowden’s exposure of warrantless espionage of Americans, etc.
Friends, you just cannot make this up! I want to emphasize that these shifts and exposures are meant by God to bless, not to condemn or destroy. Instead, they are meant to realign our nation and culture to empower the foundational principles of freedom and life upon which our nation was founded. By these judgments, we are advancing!
From the Life Decree
“Your covenant with death shall be annulled, and your pact with Sheol shall not stand” (ref:Isaiah 28:18). The Court finds that, in accordance with the Plaintiff’s unwavering plea for the blood of Jesus Christ to cover the sins of this Nation; and in accordance with the verdicts in both the Decree of Divorce from Baal and the Declaration of Covenant of Marriage to the Lord Jesus Christ; that the covenant with death empowered by nationally legalized abortion is hereby annulled…
…False weights and dishonest scales are an abomination to the Lord, and the Court finds that lies and deceit are purposefully and consistently employed to deny justice to the unborn. Therefore all judgments recorded in Isaiah 28 pertaining to covenants with death empowering deception are to be executed against the principality of Baal, its vast extensions, and human principals who remain in covenant with this principality.

Therefore, hear the word of the Lord, O scoffers, Who rule this people who are in Jerusalem, Because you have said, “We have made a covenant with death,
and with Sheol we have made a pact. The overwhelming scourge will not reach us when it passes by, for we have made falsehood our refuge and we have concealed ourselves with deception.”
Therefore thus says the Lord God,“Behold, I am laying in Zion a stone, a tested stone, A costly cornerstone for the foundation, firmly placed. He who believes in it will not be disturbed. “I will make justice the measuring line And righteousness the level; then hail will sweep away the refuge of lies, and the waters will overflow the secret place. “Your covenant with death will be canceled, and your pact with Sheol will not stand; when the overwhelming scourge passes through, Then you become its trampling place.
