The region encompassing our national government has entered into a “full court press” for revival and righteousness. In Virginia, Awaken the Dawn begins today. Leaders felt so strongly Holy Spirit awakening is at hand that they sought out Rinehart Bonnke, whose historic revivals changed the face of Africa and the nations!

At the same time in Washington DC, the Family Research Council is hosting their annual Watchmen on the Walls gathering. Amazingly, they are at capacity!

Marriage Protection Summit–Jon & Jolene Leading Prayer Vigil!
And in Maryland, Bishop Harry Jackson has just called for a last-minute “Marriage Protection Summit.” Key leaders from across the nation are gathering for this summit to “draw a line in the sand” regarding homosexual marriage.

Marriage Protection–State of Reversal
On March 4, 2004, Dutch Sheets prophesied that Maryland is a “state of reversal,” and that unrighteous legislation passed in other states would be halted here. The reversal of this unrighteous legislation would set a national trend.

This word was given at Bishop Harry Jackson’s church, Hope Christian Fellowship. And through this summit oday and tomorrow, the course is going to be set for this word to be fully realized.

According to Bishop Jackson: “I’m writing you because of a national emergency that has just developed. The emergency is the president’s endorsement of same-sex marriage. The implications are potentially so volatile that one magazine has named Obama, “The Nation’s First Gay President”…

This is the time when the prophetic voice of the Church must be heard. Despite the proclamations of same-sex activists, the institution of marriage can certainly be protected and maintained… It is time for the Church to take strategic action that will protect marriage, our religious liberties and promote the Lord’s values. I am asking a multi-racial leadership team to join me in DC, including African American and Hispanics who are sensing a call to productive engagement.”

Strategy sessions begin tonight. Tomorrow morning, this multiracial leadership group will hold a press conference in Washington DC on retaining the biblical definition of marriage. PRAY FOR THEIR UNITED VOICE TO RESOUND AND SET US ON GOD’S COURSE FOR THE FUTURE.

Our National Covering is Threatened
Throughout our prayer project, we have shared how God desires to establish His bridal canopy over our land. Isaiah 4 provides the picture–that when He has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, His glory will be a bridal canopy over Zion (Jerusalem) and all her assemblies.

What is a bridal canopy for? A marriage ceremony! Beloved, I cannot stress enough how pivotal this marriage issue is to see God’s covering for our land retained. Last year we reconsecrated our land to Jesus. He is a Bridegroom, longing for His bride! This year, He wants to accelerate His covenant in our midst. And it’s no coincidence the enemy is attempting to redefine and defile the covenant of marriage at this very hour!

Pray! What God Joins Together…
From Washington to Washington, we need your fervent intercession now. Please mobilize your prayer groups, churches, houses of prayer for breakthrough intercession. Pray for these gatherings, pray for Bishop Jackson and leaders gathered tonight and tomorrow.

At the root level, we are asking to remain “one nation under God,” with government reflecting God’s definition of marriage. What God joins together, let no man divide asunder. And where the enemy seeks to redefine and defile God’s covenant–for the good of all, may his plans immediately fail.
