Dear Conquering Saints,

FIRST—SHIELDS UP! As we head into the weekend of September 11, the intensity in the spirit is definitely growing. Lets keep watch over our cities, our states and nation for the Lord to expose and prevent any terror attacks! We begin our two-month prayer project on Sunday, the 15th anniversary of the terror strikes.

Pray NOW to Counter Potential Terrorism
This year September 11 intersects with a key Muslim holiday this year known as Eid al-Adha. It is essentially a “Memorial Day” holiday for the Islamic faith. Please keep in mind that most adherents of Islam wholeheartedly reject terrorism and embrace freedom, including freedom of religion. We want to bless the sons and daughters of Ishmael.

That said, radical terrorists almost always seek to strike on dates they consider symbolically important. And already in Paris, a terrorism arrest has been made after a car with gas cylinders was found near Notre Dame.

I recently read a sobering novel by acclaimed author Daniel Silva. His latest work of fiction begins with a terror attack in Paris, and ends with a terror attack in Washington DC designed to disrupt the election process. Two days after the book was released this summer, terrorists struck southern France. Lets pray that the rest of the story is averted.

Shields up. It’s a key time. Enough said.

Generals and Military Leaders Speak Up
Second. You might have seen this already, but the implications are astounding. Many military leaders have already endorsed Hillary Clinton. Yesterday 88 generals and military leaders resoundingly endorsed Donald Trump. From Politico:

The retired military leaders warned of the “potentially extremely perilous” combination of budget cuts and policy choices will “emboldened” enemies of the country as a result of those actions.

“That is especially the case if our government persists in the practices that have brought us to this present pass,” they wrote in the letter. “For this reason, we support Donald Trump and his commitment to rebuild our military, to secure our borders, to defeat our Islamic supremacist adversaries and restore law and order domestically. We urge our fellow Americans to do the same.”

Among the endorsers is Lt. General Jerry Boykin, who also made observations regarding mandates forced upon our military that are absolutely astounding in context. Boykin was one of the founding leaders who established the special ops section of the military. He is a strong Christian who currently serves with the Family Research Council (FRC).

Boykin—Military Freedom to Believe?
Keep in mind we are on the eve of the fifteenth anniversary of 9-11. When radical Islamist extremists attacked both the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. But according to Boykin, Christians are now the focus of extreme prejudice by the military. The article begins, “In today’s military, persecuting Christians is more important than stopping terrorism!”

Boykin continues: “Chaplains are punished for sharing their faith, which by the way, is their sworn duty as military ministers of the Gospel. Enlisted personnel are being court-martialed for displaying Bible verses. And now, military veterans are being physically assaulted!

At a recent retirement ceremony, Air Force veteran Oscar Rodriquez Jr. was forcibly removed from the proceedings because he was about to conclude the traditional flag-folding speech with these words: “It is this one nation under God that we call, with honor, the United States of America. God bless our flag. God bless our troops. God bless America.”

No service member — or veteran — should ever be forced to deny the freedom to believe that he or she is sworn to defend. It is essential to the heart and soul of our military.

Before I led our troops into combat, it was my custom to pray that our mission would be successful and that God would protect us in battle. I can personally attest to the power of those prayers… IN TODAY’S MILITARY, I COULD BE BROUGHT UP ON CHARGES FOR PUBLICLY LEADING MY MEN IN PRAYER… (emphasis mine).

As we watch and pray during this perilous season, lets thank God for our leaders in the military, intelligence, homeland security, and police. They are watchmen on the frontlines on your behalf, to keep your community, your nation and world safe. They protect and defend the priceless freedoms upon which we were founded as a nation under God. Ironically, many seem to now be denied the very freedoms they fight to uphold.

Appeal to Heaven for Turnaround
This must turn. Remember, the cry “No King but Jesus” was the Revolutionary declaration that propelled our troops into battle. Further, the first flag consistently and broadly flown by the military was the “Appeal to Heaven.” Lets make our appeal for turnaround today. Because if we do not, we are in open defiance of the only One who has kept us, and can keep us still.

No King but Jesus!

“Unless the Lord builds the house, They labor in vain who build it; unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman keeps awake in vain” (Psalm 127:1).
