DEAR FRIENDS,COVER ME. No matter the age of your children, or even their level of maturity, their intuitive hope is for mom and dad to always be there to protect, encourage, and guide them. Through this hope much of our childrens’ understanding of God, and also their own identities, are shaped.
Living up to this expectation is not always possible, of course. You and I will inevitably fail at times. But Father God can and will make up the deficit. Especially as you pray for your children and teach them to lean into His covenant covering. Which is ultimately the only true protection.
Today we’re going to explore key strategies on covering our sons and daughters in prayer, all from the fountainhead of God as our Father. This is such a key part of God’s mentoring for all believers, even from thousands of years ago when the Feast of Tabernacles was instituted in celebration of the Jews’ exodus from Egypt. The Lord has always desired to manifest His covering to provide for His people, releasing His protection and guidance for every journey of life.
As we celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot this week, lets re-connect with this basic aspect of God’s heart, His nature, and His power.
