DEAR FRIENDS,
WELCOME TO SHAVUOT on the Jewish calendar—Pentecost, the feast of firstfruits. Thank you Jesus for the four hostages that were rescued! On the final day of the Feast of Tabernacles 250 hostages were captured. Just a few days before Passover Iran rained down fiery missiles on Israel. Astonishingly they were all intercepted! 

And just a few days before Shavuot, the feast of firstfruits, the firstfruits of the hostages were dramatically rescued. “Even the captives of the tyrants will be rescued, for I will contend with the one who contends with you, and I will save your children!” (Isaiah 49:25). As you have prayed this for Israel, pray no for your own children. And celebrate their harvest, the harvest of their deliverance!

Shavuot—Covenant & Glory
We know today’s feast as Pentecost. It was over this time that Moses received the 10 Commandments as God’s “ketubah,” or marital contract with the Jewish people, on Mount Sinai. Not only is it a celebration of covenant, but it is also a celebration of first fruits, where the first offerings from the harvest of grain is presented to the Lord. 

According to Acts 2, it was during Shavuot that the sound of a mighty rushing wind filled Jerusalem with awe. Tongues of holy fire began to rest on the saints gathered in the upper room. The glory of the Lord was restored, in living experience! 

Don’t you yearn for this? I will boldly prophesy that we are entering into a new season of corporate prophetic experiences. The masses will hear of it. Tarrying meetings in prayer will experience it. 

Remember, the God of Israel is a God of covenant. He seals His covenant with holy fire. On the mountain Moses experienced fire and glory as His covenant was cut. That same glory rested for a while in Jerusalem, but lifted when God’s people chose to give themselves to  idolatry and abuse. The covenant became defiled, and eventually annulled by God Himself. 

Then came Jesus. He fulfilled every requirement of the covenant, literally becoming God’s covenant on behalf of His people as He paid the price in full for our sins. 

Holy Spirit raised Jesus from the dead. On Shavuot, the anniversary of God’s original ketubah with His people, Holy Spirit was again released to move through Jerusalem to fill God’s covenant people with His glory!

On a personal note, the Lord graced me to experience His holy fire for the first time in a very long time. I saw what looked like a droplet of oil plunge from heaven into the depths of my human spirit. I felt a burning touch. Warfare lifted. And it was as though I gasped in Heaven’s invigorating breath for the first time in a very long time!

Thank you so much Lord Jesus.

For the first time all year, as of Shavuot Jolene and I are released to “governmentally” receive an offering from you for Lamplighter. By “governmentally” I mean that the Lord is commanding the offering, and He will watch over it. He will multiply it. He will rebuke the devourer and open the windows of heaven for you. He will set the course for your future. 

Remember Shavuot is the feast of firstfruits. It’s the time the first harvest of grain is presented before the Lord. God is going to respond to your first fruits offering with an incredible harvest!

For many of you, similar to Elijah, He will even respond to your offering with holy fire. We have a holy faith for this now! 

Most of you know that for most of the year, we have followed a command similar to the disciples after Christ’s resurrection. He called them to watch continually in Jerusalem until they are endued with Power from on High. 

Jesus told us to keep watch in Washington DC. From January on, we have traveled nationally only twice. Otherwise our schedule has been cleared to pray for Washington, to pray for Israel from Washington, to pray over election dramas, and to host home group meetings. We have seen turnaround after turnaround during this time. 

Further, He spoke to us to believe Him to release the provision His way that would otherwise have come from honorariums while traveling as well as from your corporate response to giving projects. I have shared many times that we don’t initiate these giving projects unless directed by Holy Spirit. We’ve been strongly tested on this during these five months. 

Now that we’re released to welcome this Shavuot offering, I cannot be more excited for what He is going to do in each of your lives. We will begin this Turnaround Tuesday with a special consecration for this season. 

No King but Jesus!
