DEAR FRIENDS,
WHY IS THE NATIONAL GUARD IN WASHINGTON DC? Mayor Muriel Bowser noted that carjackings are down 87 percent as the men and women of the National Guard patrol our monuments and neighborhoods. Our Capitol grounds are being improved. Many deployments have included expanded responsibilities in much-needed landscaping and lawn care. 

But that said, what’s the real reason they are here? Is it just to pick up the slack after years of seeming negligence in confronting criminal activity?

Or is there even more?

As we move towards 9-11, our prophetic and prayer friends have continued to share strong alerts from the Lord. Watch and pray. Keep vigilance. There’s more going on than what you understand. 

A month ago today, an astonishing article appeared in the Jerusalem Post which may give us a clue. The headline read: US Republicans fear Gaza crisis could spark 9/11-style attack on US soil…

According to a senior congressional aide: “Eliminating Hamas serves American interests, but continued support for Israel risks making American citizens targets of reprisal attacks by Hamas and its allies. Ultimately, we don’t want to see another 9/11.”

Could we have another attack on our homeland, patterned after 9-11 or October 7? Or even Pearl Harbor? Security experts are warning it’s just a matter of time. 

AT THE SAME TIME, God is moving to birth a greater expression of His authority and covering in our land. By the direct word of the Lord, we have come to call it THE COMMANDER ANOINTING. “You shall command a thing, and it shall be established” (Job 22:28). 

The Lord first spoke to me this phrase at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii while in the midst of a powerful prayer time. In retrospect I would actually call it a visitation. Chris Mitchell, Jolene and I experienced an unusually powerful ministry time immediately following. And we’ve been praying into the full release ever since.

The Lord brought “the commander anointing” to the forefront again this past month. Jolene and I were visiting friends on a remote island in the northwest corner of the United States. I had longed to see an eagle, but they somehow eluded us for days. 

Then the Lord spoke to me, “COMMAND THE EAGLES TO COME.” Not long after, an eagle soared overhead. Beautiful. A second eagle soon flew along the water, across the entire space of our view. The Soaring Eagle Watch is named after this experience. 

Wait on the Lord. Renew your strength. Mount up with wings and come up higher And lets together command the eagles to come. Their visionary intervention is needed. AND THE COMMANDER ANOINTING AWAITS.
