Saved by the Bell!
We had a blast—literally—with Jamie Fitt and the Philadelphia Tabernacle of David last night. From the lips of prophetic worshipers, the Liberty Bell sounded FREEDOM for this coming Jubilee.
Jolene prophesied a phrase which Jamie turned into a song—for a good 15 minutes. “Saved by the Bell!” The proclamation definitely pushed us into freedom. And she was also prophesying into the depleted deadline of the Iranian nuclear negotiations.
God is protecting His covenant people. Saved by the Bell!
Iran, Israel and the Blood Moon Passover
That said… we are days away from Passover, marked this year by a blood moon. Many current teachings warn of precedent-setting conflicts in Israel related to these signs in the heavens.
So it’s interesting that, just days before Passover, the nuclear negotiations with Iran ended at an impasse. Iranian General Mohammad Reza Nadq summarized the deadlock with an astounding sentiment. “Israel’s destruction is non-negotiable,” he said.
Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responded with outrage that the Iranian negotiations continue while Iran vows again to wipe Israel off the map. “Evidently, giving Iran’s murderous regime a clear path to the bomb is negotiable,” he said. “This is unconscionable.”
Thankfully, the US has just threatened to walk away from the table. Remember Iran calls Israel the “Little Satan” and America the “Great Satan.” Passover is all about leaving behind all who identify us as their enemies. And like Netanyahu said before Congress, “The enemy of your enemy is your enemy.”
Something is Still Seriously Wrong
In both America and Israel, we’ve seen legitimate turnarounds in answer to prayer. History has shifted—dramatically. But if we’re honest, there’s still a strong sense that something is seriously wrong.
And the Iranian nuclear deal, where we seemingly betrayed our allies in order to compromise with a resolute enemy, has become a primary symbol of this perception. Wherever we go, regular folks are now expressing genuine fear over current events and agendas that will affect our future.
Preparing for Times Ahead
What do we do? Good question. I want to submit to the Lamplighter family what I believe the Lord is saying as personal preparation for the season ahead.
This Passover, we are now at a turning point. And I believe that, to retain prophetic legitimacy, the Lord is asking many genuine believers in the Lord Jesus Christ to authentically evaluate our lives and world according to the clear plumbline of God’s heart and truth. And where needed, to repent and cut ungodly ties.
As intercessors, we often become so enamored with the folks we are praying for that we can ignore the truth before our very eyes. On the other hand, we can so clearly discern wrongs that we fail to see anything good. Our prayers turn to accusation. And an angry, unforgiving spirit drains our vitality and disqualifies us from true intercession.
Either way we lose. And our behavior towards others proves that we have become bound to them in an ungodly way. So where we have compromised our integrity, either by unjust allegiance and loyalty or by unrighteous anger, we need to repent. And we need to sever all ungodly ties that have formed as a result of our compromise.
Here’s a key. When a relationship becomes defiled through consistent deceit, manipulation, abuse of power, or betrayal of covenant, either the ties must be severed or the afflicted party may even be held accountable as an accomplice to evil.
Passover! To Cross Over, Cut Ungodly Ties
Friends, we are defined by what we tolerate. As genuine disciples of Jesus Christ, we are members first of the body of Christ. He demands our allegiance. That means Jesus first, with His word as our plumbline for truth. And it is in context with demonstrated allegiance to Jesus and His word that the Apostle Paul admonished us, “Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers” (2 Cor. 5:14).
Spiritual revolutionaries, what significant deceit, tyranny or abuse are you tolerating? This Passover, I personally believe the Lord is calling you to break free. He is saying, Let My people go!
But to cross over, you must cut ungodly ties that have bound you in compromise. And you must leave those who consider you their enemies on the other side.
Your Liberty Bell is now sounding.
