DEAR FRIENDS,
HAPPY NEW YEAR! On New Years Eve, during a historic convergence with Hanukkah that carries us through to define the new year, God sent holy fire. A lightning strike at the US Capitol.
It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words. This is especially true given that our primary graphic for the “Rescued Lampstand” project conveys… well… lightning striking the US Capitol.
I would love to take credit for creating the graphic. Sadly, this one’s not mine. Designer Jared Smith with Blue Ocean, a design and marketing group that has come alongside us to help us be more effective in our communication, put the graphic together.
Not only is it brilliant. It is prophetic. It is a sign that God wants to rescue the lampstand even of our Capitol, and reignite its flame so that we can again become a city on a hill and a light to the nations. Just as mentioned during the project.
By the way, special thanks to all who sowed generously into God’s work for this new season! We will not discover the total until we make it home. But whether we made our projected financial goal or not, God’s confirmation is unmistakable. May you be inspired by it. And most importantly, may you be a burning lamp through the coming year!
So Happy New Years, friends. The year of the rescued lampstand has begun!
