Peace Deal with Russia
On Monday Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with President Trump at the White House to discuss a potential peace deal with Russia. The “land for peace” deal was suggested by Putin during meetings with Trump this past Friday in Alaska.
Trump as radically changed many of his positions since the meeting. Including forsaking his demand for a cease-fire prior to a deal, and signaling a willingness to grant significant Ukrainian territory to Russia as part of the deal. Many analysts have speculated that Trump actually yielded to Putin everything he desired. Even though Trump insisted on including countermeasures involving direct US military involvement if Russia violated the terms.
Which is doubtful. But still, the stakes are high, and it’s important to remember God’s plumbline prophetic warning. Open door… or trap door?
MONDAY—EUROPEAN INVASION OF WHITE HOUSE! President Zelenskyy is now sharing his Trump meeting with major leaders of European nations. Including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, French President Emmanuel Macron, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and more.
Land For Peace—Open Door or Trap Door?
Almost to a person, these leaders are expressing outrage that Trump is signaling a willingness to sacrifice key cities and territories in eastern Ukraine to secure a “land for peace” deal.
It’s important to note that almost to a person, these very same players demanded that Israel sacrifice portions of the land covenanted to them by God to create a Palestinian State. In other words, they are NOT OKAY with a land for peace deal carving up Ukraine. But THEY ARE OKAY with a land for peace deal carving up Israel!
All that said—from my current vantage point, a “land for peace deal” carving up either Ukraine or Israel is an “open door” that’s actually a trap door. British Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain fell into this same trap door just before WWII. His appeasement of Hitler set a precedent that merely encouraged the Nazi dictator to keep taking more land.
And lets remember Gaza—land Israel gave up to secure peace, and even pave the way for broader Palestinian state. For European leaders to reject the Trump/Putin deal, all the while mandating Israel to again give up land for peace, is hypocrisy at its very worst. PLEASE PRAY.
