DEAR AMAZING FRIENDS,
WE ARE SO THANKFUL FOR YOU! This Thanksgiving especially. Looking back at our journey together, especially from 2020 until now, our hearts are bursting. Lamplighter family you have paid a huge price for the breakthroughs now at hand. Jesus is moving in response to complete the turnaround for our nation, just as He has promised.
As we launch into the holiday season, Jolene and I are introducing this vital prophetic word and focus which will carry you powerfully into 2025. On a very deep level, God is moving to rescue your lampstand! And He is moving to do the same for Washington DC and the nation. In fact, as Zechariah 4 conveys, the burning lamp itself becomes a sign that a window has opened to complete His turnaround!

Watchman, What of the Night?
Now let me share why my heart is so very full. On Thanksgiving evening 2019, I remember gazing at the panoramic view of Washington DC from our watchman’s perch, and wondering what Thanksgiving 2020 would be like. Note that November 2020 marked the 400th anniversary of the Pilgrims’ arrival. My anticipation was that we could build on recent accomplishments and perpetuate their legacy of our forefathers, entrusting the torch of freedom to ensuing generations.
Instead, what I perceived made my hair stand on end. The skies suddenly darkened. A storm began to blow violently. And Holy Spirit firmly spoke to my spirit, “Watchman, what of the night?”
From that moment I knew that 2020 would be defined not by tranquil passages but by spiritual warfare and sudden storms of a magnitude few were barely perceiving. They carried the potential to blow us completely off course.
Confronting the Storm
And I was reminded of the powerful nor’easter that confronted the Pilgrims as they neared landfall in the new world. We actually began our 2020 book White House Watchmen by recounting the brutal storm they faced.
My ancestor Richard Warren was among the Pilgrims making the crossing. As waves crashed against a toppling Mayflower, they discovered they had been blown completely off course. Turning the ship around and racing towards a safe harbor, the Pilgrims decided to establish their community right where the storm landed them. And in the harbor of Provincetown, now Massachusetts, they penned the Mayflower Compact, coming into covenant with God for the land that would against all odds become the United States of America.
In this time period many of you have endured similar, unforeseen storms. Through Jesus we have helped each other endure, grow, and gain fresh resolve. Our vision has been recovered. Our hope has been resurrected. Our lamps have been tested, but they are again beginning to shine.
And we are entering into 2025 exactly the way we had hoped to enter in 2020. The window of opportunity to complete the turnaround promised by the Lord has finally opened.
Smooth sailing ahead? Very doubtful. Even now the storm clouds are gathering. But so is victory. And the opportunity to preserve our God-given freedoms is going to be worth it all.
So this Thanksgiving, follow the way of the Pilgrims and take time to be grateful. Feast, rest and enjoy. Take heart in what you have already conquered. Celebrate the fact that the horizon you sowed into, even through storms, is now at your doorstep. Truly just as prophesied.
And then lets get to work.
Rescued Lampstand—One Small Candle
In this year of the rescued lampstand, I am reminded of the testimony of William Bradford, governor of the Pilgrims, just a few short years after they crash-landed in Plymouth. May this be our testimony as we journey together through this epic new season. From Washington to Washington to Jerusalem!
