DEAR FRIENDS,
LAST NIGHT,IDALIA QUICKLY ESCALATED from a tropical storm to a Category 4 hurricane before striking the “big bend” of western Florida. As bad as Florida was hit, the storm traversed more geography over Georgia than any of the other affected states. Our prayers are with all who have suffered loss.

Prophetically, for many years Jolene and I have been carrying clear warnings about coming storms, both as entities in themselves and as symbols of national challenges. One year ago almost to the day, Holy Spirit spoke the phrase “TURN THE STORM” to name of our coming tour. We began our “Turn the Storm Tour” in Jacksonville Florida. Less than a week after we finished, Hurricane Ian formed and made a beeline for Tampa FL. Our prayer call was full of intercession to “TURN THE STORM!” 

And astonishingly, it did. 

Then just yesterday, it appeared as though Tampa was once again in the crosshairs. Hurricane Idalia was projected to make landfall around Tampa Bay, then continue across Florida, striking the Villages, Jacksonville, and Amelia Island among other regions before entering southeastern Georgia. In our Turnaround Tuesday broadcast, and then in our home group, we joined once again with millions of intercessors to seek the Lord Jesus Christ for the storm to turn. 

And astonishingly, it did. 

The storm came ashore far north of Tampa, at what is known as “the big bend.” And brunt of the storm was actually felt most by rural areas of Florida rather than densely-populated metro areas. 

I am bringing this up for two reasons. First, God is granting His covenant people power in prayer to TURN COMING STORMS. Potentially devastating situations can be mitigated. We can see a turnaround. 

Second, now that we’ve covered the good news, let me make clear that MORE STORMS ARE COMING. Our great task is to discern the times, and remain alert and vigilant. 

Towards Yom Kippur
As we approach the fall feasts this year, a special Yom Kippur project has come into view. We’ll share more about it soon. But we long ago decided to join the saints of Tampa onsite for this National Day of Atonement specifically because we saw the Lord turn Hurricane Ian! And now of course, Idalia. Note to self: if He can do this there, twice in two years, He can certainly turn many storms over your spheres as well. 

Anyway, I’ve been working on an overview for the Yom Kippur project, and am sharing with you today an excerpt focused on “Discerning the Times.”

But let me just say that, as we shared last Wednesday, the first and best way to “TURN THE STORM” is to seek the Lord in wholehearted repentance. God is granting Redemptive Transactions to redeem our land. 

“If My people who are called by My Name will humble themselves and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sins, and I WILL HEAL THEIR LAND” (II Chron. 7:14). 

Discerning the Times
Many prophets, including Jolene and me, have warned of challenges coming this fall. Later you will discover how a shofar gifted to us at Yad Vashem, the Jewish Holocaust Museum, became a symbolic prophetic warning in itself. Note we are not simply repeating prophetic speculations, but instead relaying points from previous postings as well as from trusted friends. 

For a year now, the Lord has given us warnings of coming storms, both natural and symbolic. Not a coincidence that Hurricane Idalia is moving across the southeast after bursting into Florida as a high Category 3. The NOAA is warning that many more hurricanes of similar magnitude are possible this year. 

In Maui, entire villages were recently reduced to ashes by an uncontrollable firestorm. Southern California was flooded by an unprecedented tropical storm, its first in recorded history. Amazingly, an earthquake also struck at the very same time. “Hurri-quake!” 

Washington DC is being rattled by a continual “hurri-quake” from various sources. Former president Donald Trump faces four separate federal and state indictments, most revolving around the 2020 elections. Meanwhile a laptop owned by Hunter Biden is providing heartbreaking exposure of corruption within the Biden family. Amazingly, these same laptop revelations were discredited as “Russian disinformation” just before the 2020 elections, thereby protecting Biden’s path to the presidency. 

Let me prophesy that God is now moving to overcome the Deficit of Justice in Washington DC. Keep praying!

The threat of another global covid outbreak has also resurfaced, with a volatile new mutation called “Eris.” It’s no coincidence the meaning of “Eris” in Greek means “strife” or “discord.” 

Speaking of strife and discord, both Israel and the United States are experiencing seismic divisions politically that experts warn could even lead to a further unraveling of national cohesion. 

At the same time, both nations are facing down existential threats from outside our borders—largely from Iran, China and Russia and proxy organizations aligned with them. That said, many prophets, including Jolene and me, have sensed a strong warning about attempts to sabotage of our nation through the election season. One trusted prophet recently warned about a planned event “bigger than 9-11.” Having personally received similar warnings featuring “9-11” recently, we should take all of this seriously.

Needless to say, the prospect of terror strikes on our soil remains a valid threat. Even potentially involving a nuclear device. AI and cyber-warfare are also of great concern. Last week Pentagon City suffered a shutdown of our power grid, apparently due to an accident. But it brought to the forefront that potential attacks targeting our power grids, through cyber or nuclear capacities, may actually be our most immediate threat. Make this a matter of prayer.

We pray none of this occurs. But even so, a continuing war now being waged on our own soil has already taken the lives of more than 100,000 Americans, primarily young adults. That’s the statistic for just one year for fentanyl deaths. Note that fentanyl is largely exported illegally from labs in China. Help Lord! 

With this at heart, lets continue to pray against all demonic schemes to sabotage our nation—and our election process—this fall. The times are perilous. Divine intervention is needed. Our land and people desperately need God’s redemption. LORD TURN THE STORM!
