DEAR FRIENDS,
A commanding prophetic declaration by Cindy Jacobs opened the 2023 ACPE gathering this year, conveying God’s top priority for 2024. “COME UP HIGHER!”
For Jolene and me it was an uncanny confirmation. A month beforehand, the Lord spoke to me the phrase “AMERICA COME UP HIGHER” while praying over divisive DC politics. Just last week we felt to launch a “come up higher” prayer project, covering the period through through Thanksgiving, covering the US elections, the November 17 budget deadline before a potential government shutdown, and the lingering threat of terrorism on US soil.
Come up higher. God spoke this phrase en route to a ministry weekend in Abilene Texas. We presented the word publicly the first time the night before war broke out in Israel. It is believed that Hamas perceived an unprecedented vulnerability both in Israel and America due to extreme political division. Their assessment that even national security had been weakened proved hauntingly true. This was a major reason they decided to strike.
When Holy Spirit spoke this phrase, I was immediately directed to Revelation 4.
“After these things I looked, and behold, a door standing open in Heaven, and the first voice which I had heard, like the sound of a trumpet speaking with me, said “COME UP HIGHER and I will show you what must take place after these things. Immediately I was in the Spirit, and behold a throne…” (Rev. 4:1-2).
There is both a warning and a window conveyed by His directive. The great news is that in the “year of the open door” A DOOR IS OPENING for you and I to move in the Spirit, stand in Heaven’s council, and receive His real-time revelation that will shape the course of the future.
Many are in a season of transition, awaiting an open door after stepping out in faith. Watch how the Lord now opens Heaven to you, in order to unlock for you the doors of earth.
A word came during a recent ministry time that “the door is in the floor.” To those earnestly seeking Heaven’s door, we compel you to consider bowing low. Take time to evaluate your covenantal alignment with His Throne. Where are you off track? Where have you given room to anger, self-pity, unforgiveness, cynicism, compromise in covenant, a narcissistic worldview?
What cycles of sin are attempting a comeback in your life?
It’s time to respond to the shofar the Lord is sounding over you. Come up higher! Heeding His direction will bring great enrichment and healing. It will circumvent the enemy’s intended sabotage.
That said, I cannot emphasize enough a clear warning for America. The shofar is sounding. We are facing an unprecedented challenge the most attentive of us can barely perceive. To preserve our freedom WE MUST TAKE THE HIGHER GROUND.
The Trumpet is Speaking
For Jolene and me, a surprise gift of a shofar during our recent Spirit of Elijah tour initiated us into this new focus. Ten days beforehand Kristin Walch, one of the tour participants, shared a dream she had received the night before. The whole tour was going to be peaceful and joyful, she said. But that on the final day I would be given a warning, an alarm that must be sounded.
On May 1,2023, the final day of our tour, Jolene and I were gifted a precious “Lion of Judah” shofar at Yad Vashem, Israel’s holocaust memorial. I figured the Lord would give me a dream, or an impression, or a scripture verse highlighted by Holy Spirit. Instead at Yad Vashem Jolene and I were offered a shofar—the very instrument God identifies to sound the alarm. Blow the trumpet in Zion, sound the alarm on my holy mountain!
The Orthodox Jewish friend who presented us with the surprise gift first brought us all to tears by sounding out “Taps” on his instrument. He had learned the week before that more of his extended family had perished in the Shoah. As he honored their remembrance with Taps, it was as though a cloud of witnesses began to surround us. And somehow I instantly “knew” that an antichrist expression of antisemitism was again arising in the earth.
This began a season of receiving weighty prophetic warnings from the Lord, focused on terror from Iran in the fall of 2023 and beyond. I knew by the Spirit that Israel and America were both facing existential threats. This was confirmed a few days later when it was announced that Iran was only two weeks away from enriching enough uranium for an atomic weapon.
The trumpet is still speaking. God wants to give real-time revelation, both warnings and blessings, to shape our future.
Midnight Hour! The Armageddon Timeclock
“What is coming on the earth is a midnight hour. The darkest hour for Israel and America in your era.” The Lord spoke this phrase to Jolene on the summit of Tel Megiddo, otherwise known as Armageddon, on December 9, 2022. We were there praying. She saw a vision of a large grandfather clock superimposed on the Megiddo Valley, or Jezreel Valley, directly below. The clock was at 10 minutes to 12. Ten minutes to midnight.
Exactly 10 months later, almost to the day, Hamas attacked Israel. Was the Lord saying that the ensuing 10 months represented the 10 minutes of the clock? We cannot really say. But it appears so.
Jolene was seeking God about a Chuck Pierce prophecy at the time. Chuck saw how, on December 10, God was shifting the prophetic movement on a global basis. Note that on December 10, we picked up the “Spirit of Elijah” mantles at the Jordan River as a prophetic action.
That was part of Chuck’s word. But the vision Chuck saw that triggered the word showed him a pot beginning to boil over and pour out. The strongest biblical reference to this vision is actually Jeremiah’s prophetic experience, recorded in Jeremiah 1. The prophet saw a boiling pot poured out from the north. The interpretation was that evil would break forth from the north across the land.
Note that Tel Megiddo or Armageddon is in the north of Israel. The Jezreel Valley actually forms a bridge between northern and central Israel.
The Lord is conveying we are now in a midnight hour. As we come up higher, we will see even more clearly how the end times is now intersecting with real-time.
End-Time, Real-Time
As mentioned, we have now entered an era where the biblical “end times” revelation is beginning to intersect with real time. That said, I feel a strong admonition to remain focused on Jesus and His real-time revelation as events unfold. We all need to be biblically literate. But lets not become focused on end-time doctrines or eschatological worldviews. Beloved, the best biblical scholars completely missed their Messiah when He came. In the same measure, our greatest biblical understanding will prove incomplete at best, until Holy Spirit breathes on the secrets contained within these scrolls and unlocks understanding to our hearts.
Instead lets heed the admonition to “come up higher” and seek the Lord for the fulfillment of His promise to show us what “shortly must take place.” Let Him grant you access to His most precious treasures. Set your heart to receive real-time revelation, counsel from Heaven’s council to direct your course.
Speaking of which, in a moment I want to share a final confirmation the Lord gave to confirm both the reality of the midnight hour, and the promise of a midnight turnaround the Lord is offering us all. But first here are a few additional prophetic points for the year, which we will explore more over the coming months.
1. AI or IAM? Long ago the Lord showed me that when we in our nation put America before Israel, we get AI. But when we put Israel before America we get IAM. This will prove true over the ensuing year. Because we have stood with Israel we will see the Lord Himself move to lessen the threats of tyrannical expansionism from Russia, China and Iran. Not that they’re gone, they’re just restrained for a season.
2. Hindsight is 2020. To gain the higher ground in the 2024 election year, it is wise to revisit the 2020 elections and learn from the mistakes that sabotaged from within. This is true in our personal lives as well. Reflection will help secure the higher ground!
3. From Jacob to Israel. How do we confront election fraud, AI deep fakes, disinformation, plagiarism etc? The truth will make you free. The Lord is summoning His body, especially His prophets, to a higher standard regarding truth, accuracy and integrity. Repentance accelerates freedom. It’s time to leave the manipulations and deceptions of Jacob behind. Lets wrestle with God until our identity is recovered, and we become like Israel, a nation in covenant with God.
4. Repentance from Narcissism. One of the primary “gates of sabotage” so evident from 2020 through today is narcissism. The Lord Himself is confronting self-obsession and pride, in His leaders especially. Lets together set a new course. It’s time to come up higher!
5. From Shebna to Eliakim. Ultimately the thrones of our government belong to Jesus Christ by covenant. I Isaiah 22, Shebna gave us all a clear example of how the Lord is dealing with narcissism in this hour. Israel’s leader was building a monument to himself while Iran was attacking his covenant nation. God called for a day of repentance. Shebna refused. God summoned Eliakim to take his place.
What made Eliakim great? Simply that he would be a father to his constituents. And being a dedicated, competent father or mother to constituents remains God’s highest priority for leaders seeking office in this season.
6. The Rise of Ezekiel Prophets. As we come up higher, God is raising up Ezekiel prophets that prophesy against wicked councils ruling corporations, cities and nations. “These are the men who devise iniquity and give wicked counsel in this city. Therefore prophesy against them, o son of man… (Ezekiel 11). More to come…
7. The Mantle is in the Movement. Man’s capacities will largely fail during this time. Only a move of the Spirit can secure for us the preservation of our freedom. Recently I sought the Lord fervently about whom He desires to be president. His reply stunned me. “The mantle is in the movement.” If we labor to gain this move of the Spirit then the mantle will fall upon God’s intended leader. If we set our focus on a person instead of His movement, God’s intended turnaround will be incomplete.
8. The Commander Anointing. As we come up higher before His Throne, the Lord is granting commander-level authority and influence to impact the earth. Joshua, Gideon and Elijah are primary examples. More to come…
9. Complete the Turnaround! In this Year of the door, the Lord is opening the door to complete the turnaround that He began. Zechariah 4 is being highlighted. The burning lamp becomes the sign of this!
The Revere Lantern and the Midnight Turnaround
On October 7—just as the Israel war ignited, and the prophetic word to come up higher was released—friends in Abilene Texas stunned us. Right in the middle of the Spirit of Elijah Summit, they presented to Jolene and me a sacred gift from their father’s inheritance. THEY GAVE US PAUL REVERE’S LANTERN.
Actually the lantern is a bicentennial reproduction of the original pair that shined from Boston’s Old North Church the night on April 18, 1775. Revere’s lanterns, of course, became “signals intelligence” to the legendary “Midnight Rider” to awaken a slumbering army and launch a revolution. Through his ride a freedom nation came to birth.
A demarcation in history similar to Revere’s ride, similar to World War II and 9-11, is now at hand. Potentially even a midnight hour for western civilization. And by the word of the Lord, our lamps are again being ignited because He is now arising to protect and perpetuate the liberties handed down to us. An army of Gideons, of burning lamp revolutionaries, is being summoned to turn the tide of battle. NO KING BUT JESUS!
And above all, the burning lamp serves as a signal similar to the days of Zechariah. As recorded in Zechariah 4, the lamp is a sign that it’s time to complete the turnaround that began in a former season.
Burning Lamps—Godly Defiance
As noted, antisemitism is clearly on the rise. Just as in World War II, the dark, prejudicial sentiment is actually at the core of authoritarian dictatorships now seeking to take over nations. Europe and America are especially in peril. As with World War II, authoritarian networks have even been discovered within our own government, education and culture.
Too extreme? Keep in mind Germany was a strong Christian nation, actually the birthplace of the Protestant reformation, when it was taken over. Propaganda developed by the Nazis radically shifted their nation and culture away from their covenantal foundations, and towards dictatorship. More, the propaganda infused within many, youth especially, a welcoming of governance by dictatorship.
Keep this in mind. All totalitarian movements seek to indoctrinate coming generations. They target our children. This is happening here in America at a dramatically accelerated rate. And it puts in jeopardy those you love the most.
The good news is that the Lord is giving us a way not only to stem the tide, but reverse it. Turnaround. On a personal level first.
All this noted, our hour of history mandates a godly defiance. As Ben Franklin famously observed, “Rebellion to tyrants is obedience to God.”
I am reminded of the courageous rabbi and his wife who lit a Hanukkah menorah in their window overlooking an oversized Nazi flag. Daniella Greenbaum wrote a powerful recounting for the New York Times.
“In 1932, just before Hitler’s rise to power, their menorah shone brightly for all their neighbors to see. Its light — and the meaning behind it — was made all the more incandescent given the symbol of Jew-hatred hanging from the building across the street.”
According to the article, on the back of their Hanukkiah a simple declaration was inscribed, borne of this act of godly defiance. Wrote Rachel Posner, the wife of renown German rabbi Avika Posner:
“Death to Judah” so the flag says. “Judah will live forever,” so the light answers.”
Friends, what is your own light speaking for 2024? As we embark on this journey, please know that your burning lamp is the ultimate decree. It is a sign that God is faithful to compete the turnaround He began. One small candle can still light a thousand. It overcomes all the encroaching darkness, if only you resolve to shine.
